well guys.... im in kind of a bind now. I planned to come on here at it would be super easy..... but now after reading all this lovey dovey stuff I don't know WHO to give it to...

so, i just decided to keep the 200,700 neopoints to myself.

Um, I figured that when we have a "post limit" on contests... that automatically means that that is the number of posts a person must have on these forums to participate or win a prize. Would I really think that any one person would post on this thread 200 times before the contest was over? I think that's just unrealistic thinking. When I said "I'm going to set the post limit to 200 posts".... that means the post limit, or by definition, the "limited number of posts a person must have".... is... 200 posts. I figured that people would just naturally catch on to something like that, but if that was really all that unclear, then I am in a dilemma.

By my rules, 'theonlysaneone' won this contest. He was the last poster of 2006 who had a post count of 200 posts or more. Technically, 'JCMidore' had the last post of 2006, but as I said ahead of time, assuming I wouldn't have to spell it out in dictionary definition formation, the winner would be the last person with 200+ posts, making all participation of a forum member with 199 or less posts invalid. While 'JCMidore' has approx. 3/4ths the number of posts needed, it isnt the number of posts needed.

If the rules were really that unclear, I'd give the prize to CDMidore, the last poster of the year. If I go by the rules I posted, Theonlysaneone would be the victor. I guess I need a second to think this over....

I had figured it was no more than 200 posts on this topic.. because you mentioned cheating and such. Sure it is a bit outlandish.. but I just figured eh.

I am one person that thought the the 200 limit meant that you couldn't keep posting over and over again - thereby keeping other people from posting.

Even though the intent was to only allow people to post that had a minimum of 200 posts, unfortunately the wording was a little ambiguous.

I like the idea of a 50/50 split. :)
