They apparently pulled out of the Tsunami Relief show. It looks like they didn't really end on good terms.

well you have the choice of believing that they have split up when their official website said they haven't, and the drummer of the band says they haven't. :/

Wow that's really sad. They used to be my favourite band but I have been listening to them less lately, but thats still really really sad.

Don't feel sad everybody! Turn the frowns upsidown quicker than a clown in a gown!!! :) They'll return one day. If Green Day and the Beastie Boys can come back, so can these guys. But let them have a holiday, for them to turn their little ones into punk-rock gods.

What makes you believe that metal is any better than a band that has inspired so many people to start bands, regardless of what they like to label themselves as? Don't say "because they have more talent" because flying around a guitar neck fast does not equal talent.

That's a stereotypical projection of Metal bands.

Actually it's what most metal bands that I've heard do. I've had to learn a few songs by metal bands, it's quite irritating -__-

yes, but that doesn't mean all of them do it ;)
(i'm not a metal fan at all)

i say good riddance, blink182 (good naturedly) while i like them as people for the most part, (they love silverchair so they're cool by me)
i highly dislike their music

I'm sorry, but who cares?

I'm into both Blink 182 and metal, for different reasons, and I personally think your post holds no contribution to the topic (apart from negativity). It's fine to hate/dislike Blink 182 but is there a need to profess these feelings in such a manner on a board that is talking about them breaking up/going on hiatus/etc?
