Think about the name of the petpet. Think about how you can't attatch it to your neopet. Think about how the description is messed up. I'd say just by that alone, the pet is not called a "new" because thats a cute name for a petpet. Even the pet's name isn't capitalized in the beginning.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't even edited before it was released for the site, which has happend many times in the past like when the one berry was called "a10" and TNT fixed it. Could even be a problem with the sync scripts and how TNT programmed it.

Mistakes happen. I wouldn't continue to assume this petpet will be called a "new" any longer.

Your best bet would be the Trading Post in my opinion.

Yes, and I even said "It'd be cool if they left it as New! But the odds of that are pretty slim..."

And if you bothered to think about my post before replying on it, you'd have realised that I already realised everything you said in your post.

And I still think New would be an awesome name.. as a matter of fact, even if they do change it, I'm gonna name mine New!

Maybe they'll enable equipping it before they change the name, in which case as long as you equip it while it's called New, it will remain called new, even after they've changed the name.

I've seen people who did that with the Mongmong (now called the Flishy) - old ones that haven't been unequipped have kept the old name. So there's a chance you could keep it called New if you wanted to

That's what I was hoping they'd do!

Actually, all of the symol hole items were "new" for several days before the names were changed. They seem to use "new" alot lately--must be due to a rush to get the item released without all of the fine details in place. But, Tonu, it would be too funny if they made it a petpet before changing its name! Think of all of the "new"s there would be.

And, I have a mongmong, who will never, ever leave my shoyru. I hate the name Flishy!

And, my guess is that it is a petpet. It goes with the theme of today's animation.
