This board is for anything to do with the Pink Poogle Toy Forum. If you have a question or want to suggest any ideas, then this is the place to do it.

Sorry, not coming back. While I agree with many of you that the boards were a lot of fun, and also useful to some extent, they were really more trouble than they were worth.
Fin.

I don't know, maybe it was just me, but the Gods board inspired me to post more, and become more active...
*shrugs* I understand why they're not coming back, but maybe something else could be done for those members who reach that point? I think being active enough to have 1000+ posts is pretty darn cool.

And thats why you guys get 5- count em- 5 wiggly tubby stars

That and respect and stuff. But mostly the stars.

I never really saw the purpose in gods boards and the like. What makes having a high count of posts special? *shrugs*

I feel like being sarcastic.
We've already established that anything that could be posted in the Gods board would rightly fit somewhere else instead (excellent post, Matt). But since you guys seem to want it so badly anyway, I'll assume you just want it for the sake of wanting it, as we've established it doesn't have any practical use as a user group...
How about we have it as a usergroup, that people with 1000+ posts can join, but the usergroup will be locked, and no posts can be made in it. Happy? ...No? Pity.
There's simply no use for the Gods board, nor the Beyond Godly board, nor the Outkasts, nor the Mafia. None of those groups had any real practical use, or any that couldn't be taken care of elsewhere on the forums. I was never in the Mafia, so I won't discuss it. But the Gods board was almost dead apart from the sort of spammy insane stuff that belongs in NNV, and the occasional RP. You can make Gods-only RPs in the RP board, you know.
The Beyond Godly board was very, very dead.
The Outkasts was just like Misc Disc with less people. When Lillie took over, she tried to give it purpose, but it really wasn't going anywhere.
Unlike those usergroups, the ones we still have have purpose. Guys and Divas are for boys-only & girls-only discussions, respectably. Debate is for more mature, intelligent, and often controversial discussions. Things that are just a little too heated for Misc Disc.

I was never around for the Gods or MAFIA or any of this, but I can sort of see it as splitting PPT into groups, you know? Sort of like the Neoboards, where only the Battledome Elites are respected in the BD Board, the ones with the most avatars being the most respected in the Avatar board, and those with nothing getting stuck with the 'OMGZ! LykE Fetheraly HAX!!!1 FREEZ HIM
[note: I know she's a she] TehTNT!'
I know PPT would never reach that, but it'll still make some people elitists. And we all hate that, now don't we
Maybe..... those with like 2000+ posts can get something even specialer than those little wiggly stars. I dunno, give people more of an incentive to post without making those with less posts feel left out. *shrug*

The thing for me is that when we had the God board, it provided a place where members who had experience could hang out and form organizations, but as soon as that board went it became impossible to handle all these what were essentially bad newbies wanting in, and acting like morons in a bad way. But of course having a place where such organizations could reform is one of the reasons its not going to happen

I think you'll find that "newbie" discrimination is far higher on the list.

Never said it wasn't

I remember that ChromeFox started the PPT Mafia, and left it to me when she went on hiatus. Let me tell you, even though there were a whole lot of people who were wonderful and helped catch a whole lot of scammers and all (BeDeviled is one I'll always remember, over 1000 scammers caught, I think. Good job!), there were still people who got the wrong idea about it. You know, people backseat modding or trying to start usergroup wars or something stupid of the sort.
I agree it's better to leave that idea in the past. Anyone else remember the Mafia vs. Outkasts fiasco? BAD idea to start that business again.

It seems like at the old boards, before the forums got reset, there was more of a competition for posts. *shrugs* I never liked the Gods or Beyond Godly myself, as most of it just seemed like an excuse for spam. I dunno, they didn't really seem to have a point, only for people to join and be like "OMG I'M A GOD! YAY!"

Role Playing (Which people can do in the RP Board), Elitist Insane societies (Whcih people can do in the NNV board); General Discussion (Which people can do in the Misc. board). I never really liked that board when we had it a while back, and I can remember spamming to get into it. (Either that or BG, I think... o.o)
Of course, the final decision isn't with me, soo.... -shrugs-
Mafia was the same way, but with anti-scammer proproganda thrown in (which is everywhere anyway).
You spelled propoganda wrong, therefore everything you said is irrelevent, therefore FOOLS! BRING IT BACK! BRING IT BACK!, therefore, I'm up way to late to say anything sane. Either way, it made me feel exclusitativatatous, and now that it's gone, I weep in the general direction of the nearest chicken for thirty minutes every day.
BRING IT BACK!

Honestly? I don't see a need for any of the past usergroups to return (with the exception of Divas, Guys, and Debating - all of which are already in place).
The more specialised usergroups now have boards. There's no point having usergroups for them in addition.
Gods, Beyond Godly, and Mafia... we don't need them. Gods had a ton of spam - near the forum crash, it got divided into a spam and non-spam section... and the non-spam section died off pretty fast. Beyond Godly was almost as bad, I was never in it, but apparnetly it was dead, with a whole 7 topics.
While the Mafia did have a good purpose, there's nothing to stop people from doing the same as they did when the usergroup was around. Just because the group and board isn't there doesn't make the principle any different.
As a few others said, if they were brought back, people would likely spam to get their post count raised. And, personally, I don't like the "eliteness" that tended to go with the Gods board. The forum's better off without it.

Psst, Fidds, I think that was me; if memory serves there were only two Capos. Me, and then a mod I don't remember the name of who changed him title anyway when he became a mod. But hey, I could be wrong and there could have been three.
