I just don't get ANYTHING from it. I'm pretty tolerant of ANY music (hey, even rock-a-billy and songs in different landuages - i.e Kill Bill) but rap is beyond me. Once I hear too much "fowlness"

I'll easily narrow it down by saying
Rap (including Hip-Hop, R&B, and so on) - Yo Boo, I is a rapper dawg.
Death/Heavy/Grunge/whatever Rock (the screaming junk that's basically just raging and cursing) - [enter any incomprehensible babble here]
Disney Singers (or groups that are constantly advertised on Disney, Cartoon Network and other channels like that.) - [don't enter anything... they aren't really singing anyway]
Current Punk - [enter gripe about society, life, or girlfriend/boyfriend here]
Of course, there are exceptions to each, if the songs actually scream out a message to me (or if they really even have one).
It's amazing how much music I listen to that I don't even care for...

ICP. Worst crap ever.
The current 'Rap' genre. I personally like rap, but the stuff you hear today on the radio and TV is just plain crap. There's a lot of great underground artists and I'm really into the oldschool rap aswell, like 2Pac, Eazy-E, Slick Rick, Whodini, N.W.A., etc. Right now anyone from the ghetto whos had a few ups and downs like everyone else in the world is a rapper. He doesn't even have to have talent, just an image and connections. The only mainstream rap artist that has talent and I listen is Eminem. I also happened to like 50 Cent's first mainstream album, but after that with all the G-Unit's and Fat Joe's and movies and whatnot he got lame.
