Correction: I can't accelerate to the speed of light without most likely destroying the universe. (source: my Astronomy professor, Bill)

He apparently doesn't know physics 101 then?
(Source, all human understanding, eloquently summed up into E=MC^2)
Nothing with mass can accelerate to the Speed of light, ever, at all, no, not even then.
Bypassing it entirely is, of course, still in the air.

The only reason it's supposedly impossible is because it winds up giving an undefined answer in some formulae or other. I think there's simply a missing modifier. I can't prove it, but I don't mind. Lots of things are accepted as true simply because they haven't been disproved.

As speed increases so does mass, as mass increases so does the energy required to accelerate, as you approach SOL mass becomes infinite, and so does the energy required to actually achieve SOL.
Irrelevantly close to Speed of light, yes, actually breaking it no.

Of course, I'm just being arsey about it because I have a pet hate of the "We haven't proved we cant, so we must be able to!" ideal that a lot of people seem to have.
I do apologise if I am projecting :)
(Yay, I'm starting already ^_^)

It's not so much that it must be true so much as I'd rather believe my version. "I reject your reality and substitute it with my own!"...or whatever.

 Fair enough.
I just don't like this apparent belief that anything is possible, when patently it's not.
But, I shall agree to disagree.

Imagine it more as meaning we can't know, with 100% certainty, that anything we've ever learned in school is true, or that they'll never be changed.
It's probably a bad thing that I want to break the universe and mathematical principles, but I quite enjoy thinking about it.

I don't do resolutions.

Making sure I don't completely fail my exams would probably be a good idea, but I'd do that anyway, so that's okay.

Since so many people have resolved to take over the world/moon/universe, I've had to edit my resolution/goal a little.

This year, I resolve to rule all the aforementioned people. With them, EVERYTHING IN EXISTENCE WILL BELONG TO ME! *cackles*

Rewrite my novel.
Is going good so far, except for the part that I haven't actually rewritten it, and instead decided to start work on a threequel. XD

You go hide. I'll bombard you with photons to reveal your hiding spot from here. :P

Have a few resolutions:
-learn a language or two (working on Kaqchikel still, want French or German next...)
-eat healthier (already happening, and I feel sooo much better) and get more danged exercise :)
-really work on getting into the grad school of my dreams
-write something, like a novel or screenplay

That seems to be it for now.
