Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Definitely Dumbledore and Grindy was a lot more surprising- I just never saw that coming. just because there weren't really many cannon hints (even though in hindsight, it does make sense!). In contrast- the Snape/Lily theory wasn't really a surprise. It has been circulating in the potterverse since book 5 (Snape's Worst Memory had a few clues!)- or possibly even earlier (in the first few books, Snape would always insult James but never ever talked about/mentioned Lily, or even "parents" in general- too painful?). There was even the persues evans (yeah I know, spelt incorrectly, but still xD)/severus snape anagram.

As for Aberforh and the goat- that's in a league of it's own xD

Hallows. HBP was very good, but it didn't have the sheer drama of DH.

Winky -- she's just so pitiful

Buckbeak or Crookshanks?

They are both pretty boring, but I'll choose Buckbeak.

Crabbe, poor kid.

Remembralls. I like my shame to be private.

Fudge or Scrimgeour?

Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Sun Nov 09, 2008 2:50 am

Scrimgeour. At least he was (allegedly) nice to Harry.

Madame Rosmerta or Madame Puddifoot?

Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Sun Nov 09, 2008 10:21 pm

Rosmerta. Puddifoot only showed up once, and even then, she was barely tolerable.

Albus or Kingsley for Minister? (hypothetically speaking)

Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Mon Nov 10, 2008 7:05 am

Kingsley- Albus wouldn't have made a great minister imo, mostly because he just didn't want the job, but also because even he has been tempted by power/greed in the past (unlike Harry). Besides, Kingsley is a trained auror and has more ministry experience.

Fleur Delacour or Viktor Krum?

Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Mon Nov 10, 2008 4:37 pm

Fleur Delacour. Krum was annoying and Fleur is a Weasley!

Lockhart or Umbridge?

Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Mon Nov 10, 2008 4:39 pm

Lockhart -- Umbridge is way more dangerous (especially now)

Tonks or Shacklebolt?

Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Shacklebolt. He's so awesome <3 (and I've never liked Tonks)

The dragon beneath Gringotts or the dragons in the Triwizard Tournament?

Re: As you like it - Harry Potter

Mon Nov 10, 2008 11:13 pm

The one beneath Gringotts- it was blind <3, and actually ended up helping them instead of the other way around!

Sectumsempra (if you're going to do something, do it right)
