Plus, I've been playing all this time without knowing about Shift returning players to their starting positions.

That's weird! I find it just as easy to play but much harder to score - the computer team seems to have the same problem, they run with the ball towards my goal and just stop dead without shooting. They're good at the quick pass/shoot but if they run with the ball towards my goal they seem to forgot what to do next!
That's funny. Sometimes I notice if I actually *lose* the ball, they all start running in the *opposite* direction until I grab hold of it again. LOL
Darnit, got my first 9 with 1:13 left then all that last minute is is bouncing it back and forth and all around and hoping it doesn't get in the hands of the other team, then it usually does, and they end up scoring on me!

ah, so the game HAS gotten faster. Here I was hoping it was my computer that got faster.
the dirty trick with goalies holding the ball never occurred to me - I play it straight, and my first two games this round were 5-3 and 7-2. I'm just glad my scores on the real games look nothing like my practices matches.

Oh, everyone thinks I'm crazy, just 'cause I try to warn people about the face-sucking aliens headed for Earth. Yeah, laugh now, have your face sucked off later. When the aliens come, I'll be the only one left with a face, and I'll be using that face to laugh at all of you, even though I'll be sad.

Ha. Just submitted 25 scores, all wins, most by least 7 goals. I
finally have the hang of this game. I'm even making goals with the
faerie ball about half of the time. Of course, I've yet to play on a
winning team, so who knows what good it'll do me. Also, I've been
out of town Fri-Sun every week so far, so haven't played as many
games as most of you. Wonder how the prizes will be awarded?

Man am I angry! I missed pretty much ALL of Round 2! My brother who was in charge of paying for our internet decided to stop paying it. Just got it switched back on today.
I do have a lot on my plate now, some requests have gone unfilled and Round 3 is starting. I haven't been in the shop in awhile and I hope I can get everything done.

Well you can take out your anger for your brother on Roo Island!
And no worries, you won in Round 2. I didn't play much either and a lot of us seemed to think it ended pretty abruptly or else were away or didn't get to submit as many games. But I am on Darigan with you this time.
Go Darigan!

ugghhhh... im SO tired of this game...... this is worse than wars because you actually have to pay attention... wars you can just click "weapon... weapon....weapon... heal...weapon" and you get points..... this makes you pay attention... argh. But I thank Neopets again and again for coming up with a fresh idea for a neopian event that isnt like... a war plot or something...
Ive gotten Darigan their 100 points. Now i am GOING TO BED. UGHHhhhhhhhhhhhh

I don't think it is cheating but I have tried pinning the goalie and it just doesn't seem to work that well. Somehow the ball pops out and more often someone loses control of it and it goes off in some odd direction.
I have had better luck actually pinning myself against a wall with the ball, lol. The last minute of most of my games is me running around with it, bouncing it off walls, after scoring 9 and basically playing keep-away.
Uber-goalie has to go. I now actually have to pace my scores just so they can't even get one.
EDIT: Heh. Okay so I found a way around the 5 second limit. If your goalie has the ball and you NEED to waste seconds, just press him or her with ball facing against the wall next to the back of the goal. It essentially passes then bounces off the wall, back to the goalie for another 5 seconds.

25 wins for Roo Island! Much more than last time.
I'll play some more in a bit, but I'm going to give my comp a rest so he doesn't decide he hates me again. >_<
So, it went like this:
Me: Ooh! Games have started! *Plays*
Computer: *Four seconds to go until winning* BAHA! *dies*
Me: ...no! *has to wait fifteen minutes before starting up again*
Mom: I'm leaving, so you can get on my computer!
Me: Yay! *wins up to 'bout 19 games*
Mom: *comes home*
Me: Aaw. *gets back on*
Computer: Fine, fine. I'll behave. *Gets up to 25 wins without dieing*
Me: =D! A rest for you.
...yes. I'm bored. You probably don't give a care what happened and how I did it, but you learned anyway. So there!
