i did put it in tetris form, but noone touched my link.... plus i'm using a lappy mouse (the stupid touchpad -_-) and the shapes aren't really that good ^^;. Anyways, could someone please give me a starting hint? Here are both links for the third puzzle i'm stuck on:
Mini-plot would suit me fine. Not too much time in my busy RL schedule, which would be why I didn't do quite as good at the Halloween plot as I would have liked.

Ditto on that. My mid-years are over, though, and break's coming up, so I'll have some time, but knowing how long it takes plot stuff to come out sometimes..

Regalone, here's a hint. Let me know if you need more hints, and I'll send another piece or two your way. The anchors go one above the other on the right hand side. The L piece (with four squares) fits into the bottom anchor. Hope you can get it from there!

That is the way it's supposed to be done. I don't like people completing the whole puzzle for each other, but a hint or two is fine in my books.

Don't get me wrong. My point was that helping someone figure out their Tetris puzzle when they're really stuck is not equivalent to logging into their account and fighting battles for them. I'm not condoning handouts of solutions to anyone who can't be bothered to spend a little time working on the puzzle. At the end of the day, though, it's the choice of the individual helper to decide who is deserving of help, and I don't think we should condemn them for trying to be helpful in their own way. That said, I think giving clues rather than outright solutions is a very good compromise. (And demanding help and then not even saying thank you is both lazy and downright rude, and I personally certainly wouldn't help such a person again.)
I was lousy at the Tetris puzzle, but I lost count of the number of people I helped with their constellation co-ordinates in the Altador plot - and without the help I received in return when I was stuck on other puzzles, I doubt I could have completed the plot.
I guess what I'm saying is that the word is 'teamwork'.

Yep ^^.... if someone helps you, you should at least say thanks. After all, that person would be going out of their way to help you, and to not give thanks would basically be a slap in their face.... so people, if you get help, remember your manners Plus, you know the saying 'what goes around come around'... if you're nice to people, people will be nice back, and vice versa... people are more inclined to help a nice person than a rude person.

You know, not everyone has the same talents as other people. Something like this most recent puzzle requires someone have a talent with spatial relationships - not something that everyong has.
And some of "us" are lurkers - mostly because we don't have a lot of things to talk about that aren't already being said - and we don't want to become "me too" type posters. So, unless we have something to say, we keep quiet.
I've been part of PPT since the Altador "mini" plot. And each time I figured out a puzzle on my own before coming here, I came here with the full intent of sharing my solution with the board. However, since I am usually about a day or so behind (RL gets in the way sometimes, doesn't it?), usually the solution is already posted. If it is something I have a talent with, I offer my help to others - because others have been VERY helpful to me. One of the reasons I have liked PPT is because MOST of the posters here are non-judgemental about the skills and capabilities of the other PPTers. You don't know who or what is on the other side of the computer. How do you know if it is a kid, or even someone who happens to be a high-functioning mentally challenged individual? Or just someone who doesn't happen to be talented in the skills needed for a particular puzzle?
It's not about "not trying" - it's about knowing your limits. Yes, I find those people unwilling to try it first on their own and just begging for help annoying. But in the greater scheme of things, it's just themselves they are hurting. Usually these are going to be the people who are 'latecomers' to the plot anyways - so they are not likely to get "points" for being first or even in the top 100. And yes, I try first on my own - and occaisionally get cranky when someone SEEMS to imply that I'm not even trying.
I am just like you Cat. I have never posted because everytime that I have needed help I could get the help that I needed just by reading through all the other posts and figured the rest myself or I never have had anything that I could contribute to the conversation that hasn't all ready been said. I am really glad that I didn't have to have someone help me with my puzzles because I would have no idea how to even start putting it into tetrus form. People that need help come to all the different forums for that help. I think it is really up to the helper how much help is given, not up to the person who is asking for the help.

People on the boards are talking about red lines appearing in the comic where there doesn't seem to be any reason for them.
They are saying these red lines may be a clue to how to open the door, if and when the next part of the comic goes live.
Well I was going to screenie, but I am kind of lazy, so anyway, just look at the background of all the comic and there are random red lines and dots. One of them is on the ship behind Lilian when she is saying "Father will be so pleased when we find this island."
Then in comic 2 where Roxton says "You still in one peice, kid?" look behind him at the sunset and at a rock, there seems to be red symbol that looks sort of like a triangle and a line.
Below the xweetok's tail where she says "I can't believe it, the fruit does exist!" There are two red lines like this =.
Plus, you know the saying 'what goes around come around'... if you're nice to people, people will be nice back, and vice versa... people are more inclined to help a nice person than a rude person.
