Well, I may get boo'ed for this, but since i am apparently the lousiest altador cup player EVER, I am going to join up with a team that i DON'T want to see win, at least for the next couple of rounds. That way, when I DO play, I can send those losing scores. I mean, I hate it, but I can't tell you how many times I've played, and I CAN'T win! So I might as well lose strategically, right? Maybe no prizes for that, but hey, I'm not winning any prizes anyway. :evil:

Indeed. several Neopets boards are already using this line of thought: people should join the 2 top teams to get the better prizes. Pretty much like the wars, this can fast became a popularity contest.
That can be a serious drawback: to every good player that joins one can have dozens of below average ones going for a possible prize.

Oh, well.

Anyway, have a nice trip; enjoy and be aware of montezuma's revenge, in certain parts of the country.

all everyone is doing right now is speculating. Remember, fairyland was pegged to be a top player and they were at the bottom. Neopets has some mysterious way of calculating all this and there really is no way to know for sure. Also it's still early in the game - anything could happen.

It says in the rules that starting from the quarter finals, the matches will be randomly chosen. So you can't really prepare for the next round.

Noo, faerieland got crushed by mystery island. how could this have happened? :cry:

Now who can i join? my goal has become to see mystery island get crushed. even if i have to personally get the 700k wins.

You sure have my support, I like the way how the team looks and I'm always supporting the underdog (that's why I was playing for Faerieland, I figured they could use an active player very well).

I do hope we'll get enough time to play the game though, since I'll be in Paris from Saturday till Tuesday...

When it becomes possible again, which it currently isn't, you can get there by going to 'my scores' and clicking your team's shield above the table.

I'm glad a lot of the Faerieland PPT supporters are coming to Roo Island with me, lol

Hopefully the nubs keep with nubiness and choose to go on the highest scoring teams, lol

That would make sense, but the same New Member won't submit a score where they lose...so even if they only submitt a few (the ones they manage to win) they will still be boosting some of the teams who are allready winning a lot.
