Haunted Woods Plot General Discussion (Split#30)

I think they missed their deadline
If you ask me, I'd say they wanted to summon the spirit by now, but probably something in the graves slowed them down. Though they could just put it down to "Halloween in the comic happens a week after Halloween in Real Life"
Or it just hasn't been released today yet

I bet it's one of those deaf-and-dumb situations.
Someone suggests something, someone else who didn't catch it (deaf!) repeats it to try and clarify, and people in the area who didn't hear the first parts of the conversation thinks it's a statement rather than a question, and repeat it everywhere, the dumb gits
Neovia looks the usual dark, foggy place it is to me.

Even if it did, it wouldn't make much of a difference if nothing else (clickability, comics, shack, etc.) changed. And none of those changed. Especially since it DIDN'T get any brighter.

What do you want us to say then!!
The plot will move along just as it has always has done. Yes, it is Halloween, but TNT are not in the office at 12.00am in the morning.
It will still be Halloween at 9.00am or even at 6.00pm - so whenever TNT updates today, the plot will still be done on Halloween day.

That's a very good point.
Unfortunately, I'm in at 12mn NST, but probably less 6-9pm - I'll just have to catch up. On the brighter side, being one of the catch-up-ees means people have usually figured out the steps and changes by then, less brain-wracking for me
True, it is Halloween...
...but isn't it at midnight on Halloween that the town becomes a "ghost town". Perhaps, today's update will have something to do with that - though technically midnight last night was Halloween's midnight.

You know, I've never gotten this: If it is the-minute-after-23:59-on-1st Jan, is it considered the midnight of 1st Jan or of 2nd Jan? For simplicity's sake, I've always assumed it to be that of 1st Jan, because my very literal brain says midnight is Night, and if it were midnight-of-2nd-Jan, it wouldn't be night, it'd be first thing in the 'morning'. ><
It's very confusing. What do you guys think?

The comic states - "Halloween night", not actually midnight. Then Sophie says she stayed up all night to study and when she revisited the town in the morning, the town was empty.
So TNT are still on track, by the time they update, it will indeed be Halloween night.

midnight is 00:00 of the new date so in your example 23:59 is the 1st jan, midnight begins the 2nd jan, and yep it is first thing in the morning as we switch form pm to am the minute the clock ticks over to midnight. its night because nightime runs until whatever time you consider morning eg 6am.
i think we will get a plot update wiht todays news
