How to Make a Polymer Clay Wocky
Written by simsman24000

Learn how to make your very own clay Wocky. Show all of your friends your work and they, too, will get into the Wocky clay craze! With easy steps and some clay that's lying around the house, you can bring Neopets into your home!

You will need
- Polymer clay. 1 block modeling clay (red, blue, yellow, or green), and 1/6 block modeling clay (pink).
- Sculpting tools. I have some clay tools I use, but toothpicks and your fingers should be fine.
- Something to cut the clay with. An old butter knife is fine, but it should NOT be used for food after using it on clay. It can also be easily cut with a strand of dental floss held taut between your hands.
- A surface to work on. I personally take a section of the newspaper and wrap it with wax paper. The clay tends to get stuck to whatever you work on, so make sure you aren't working on a surface the clay might destroy (i.e. carpet! :)
- Glue (not shown). This will be to attach the feet to the body after baking. I personally use a rubber type all purpose glue (it's called GOOP), but just about any glue should work.
- Color Printer. To print out eyes and eyebrows.

Step 1
Roll one quarter of the main block of clay (or cut everything down by a half if you choose to make a mini Wocky) into a ball, which will be the
Wocky's head.

Step 2
Roll another quarter into a ball, which will be the Wocky's body. Spread some of the ball's clay out into legs and feet by indenting your finger into the ball in four places, so the feet stand out. Do this by making a cross with your finger and pushing into the bottom of the Wocky. Alternatively, make legs with some more clay separately which can later be attached to the body.

Step 3
Press another quarter of the block of clay into a flat, circular shape. With a small bit of extra clay, add a small swirl onto the flat shape.

Step 4
Take a half of another quarter (an eighth of the block) and separate it into two similar-sized pieces. Shape them like small triangles, and either stick them or glue them to the Wocky's head.

Step 5
Take a very small piece of pink clay and roll it into a VERY SMALL nose for the Wocky. Put it into the center of the head. Also, take 2 pieces of pink clay and mold them into similar triangles as the ones in Step 4 - only smaller. These will be the Wocky's "inside" ear.

Step 6
Take the rest of the pink block of clay and curve it into a U-shape. Use the tip of a pencil or pen to make small indentations in the Wocky's fur-thing that hangs below the head.

Step 7
Place the head onto the fur-thing, and that onto the body ball (with the feet). Take the flat shape with the swirl (the tail) and place it on the Wocky's rear-end.

Step 8
Option able, print out images of Wocky colors from Neopets do model your clay Wocky on so you can make a whole army of Wockys!

Step 9
Print out an image of a Wocky from Neopets, cut out each individual eyebrow, eyeball, and the Wocky's mouth, and either glue or stick them to their appropriate spot on your clay Neopet.

Step 10
Hooray! You've just made one of the first ever Clay Wockies! Pat yourself on the back and go have a cookie! Hopefully you got through this easily without any pictures (sorry, ya'll!).
