Hi Jonny! Tell us a bit about yourself! How did you get your name? What makes you tick? What’s the most random thing thats happened to you?

I’m Jonny and 13. I’m 14 on November 20th. I don’t really know how i got my name but I’m actually Jonathan; I changed it to Jonny in year 4. Don’t ask why. I get really annoyed by people that nag about things and the slowness of my PC! The most random thing the happened to me was when i got hit by a bus.

Apart from being super cool and having your own sound effect who is your favorite host?

Dave with his really cool voices!

What is your most favorite part of hosting the shows?

I enjoy recording really late at night/really early in the morning depending on the length of a show.

If you could take over the shows, what would you do? Do you think you have already taken over the shows but we just don’t know it yet?

If i did take over the shows I would probably talk a bit more than usual. I’m a dark horse, I don’t take that much… yet!

Why did you first join The PPT Show?

I thought it would be an awesome experience, and I would be able to share my knowledge with other players of Neopets.

What are your favorite show(s)?

Probably South Park, Vicar of Dibley and Eadtenders!!!

Do you play any sports? What else do you do apart from hosting so fabulously?

I do short distance running, but not as an actually hobby. I like making websites and playing.

If you could give someone starting some advice, what would you give?

Don’t go to bed too late. Unless you’re recording an episode then stay up as late as you can!

What is your biggest secret hidden talent? How did you come by this talent?

Running fast, my one natural talent.

Do you have any pets?

A super cool rabbit called Smudge!

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten in your life?

When in doubt turn left!

Hola como estas John! What’s news! What have you been up to today? What’s the day like for a typical John?

Not much new! I got a small raise at work today. *Yay*. My typical day is me getting up past noon, going to work, coming home and chilling on the internet till I’m tired enough to fall asleep!

We hear you’re married! What’s married life like? Does your wife know you sneak onto the computer to record episodes for a talk show? What do you think her reaction would be? Would she be interested in hijacking us one day maybe?

Married life is good. We’re currently working opposite schedules, so we don’t always see each other as much as we’d like! She doesn’t know about the podcast, but I’m sure if she did she’d call me a big dork! She’s shy of the microphone, so I doubt I’d ever get her into a podcast.

Do you have any pets? What kind of animal is your favorite? Would you classify yourself as an animal person?

I would say that animals like me- but I’m not really an animal person. I don’t want any pets of my own, all the fish I’ve ever owned have died. (OK, maybe those fish don’t like me!) If I did have a pet it would likely have to be a cat.

Do you have any worldly ambitions? How do you think you will achieve them?

My immediate goal is to get into a teacher’s college. But I’d also like to finish writing my book one day, which I’ve been picking up and adding to from time to time. I’d love to play poker in the World Series of Poker in Vegas some day, too. That’s more a silly dream though, and I won’t cry if it doesn’t come true!

It’s got to be Kym. For some reason, the accent just gets me! I’d trade my goofy Canadian accent for that Australian accent any day of the week!

Do you think Emma will be able to take over the world with her newly acquired minions? Explain and discuss.

What do you do in real life apart form work? What are your hobbies? Do have any unusual things you like to do?

I’m a total sci-fi geek. I love everything Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate… Anything that has the word Star in it, really. I love driving at night. Once in awhile I’ll just take an hour or two and drive around town and the country in the wee hours of the morning, and listen to my favorite music.

What are some of your unusual habitual traits? How did you come across them and how have you actively sought to overcome them?

You’ve heard the expression, ‘biting your tongue’? When I was in my first year of university, I started habitually chewing my tongue. Unconsciously, due to the stress of a heavy course load, to be sure… But it left my poor tongue in a sorry state. It’s taken a very conscious effort to kick the habit. Oh, I also put the toilet seat back down now. You can thank my wife for that!

What is the biggest challenge of married life?

Mutual respect. No matter how much you love someone, sometimes you’re going to step on one another’s toes, especially when you live with them! It’s all about finding a balance and giving back as much as you take.

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten in your life?

Don’t panic, and always bring a towel.

Hi Emma! Tell us a bit about yourself! How did you get your name? What makes you tick? What makes you happy? What’s the most random thing you’ve done?

Okay, well I be 14 & live in the incredibly weather-insecure, tea-drinking place of ENGLAND! If you mean my forum name, then it was just a bunch of words that I stuck together… if you mean my real name then, err, my mum gave it to me when I was born? Dur.

Everything makes me happy, but the only thing that I guess the best thing would be after you’ve done a performance (acting-wise!) and people say that it’s good. I love that.

The most random thing I’ve ever done? I exist to be “random”. Once I decided to roll down a hill whilst screaming, “I AM A MOOOOOOOSE”. Does that count?

We’ve heard recently that you now have minions. How did you acquire them? What do you plan to do with them? What are their names?

Hahaha, my guinea piggles? Obviously I am bound by their contract not to tell people stuff without their consent, but if you must know, their secret agent names are “Ralph” and “Monty”.

Apart from you being all powerful and amazingly-awesome, who do you think is the most coolest, hip and happening show host? Do you want to marry this person?

Umm, well Adex makes me laugh a lot Very Happy And Steven as well, because he’s a good friend of mine, but I think we lost the episode with him in! It would be big of me if I married them both, unfortunately.

What is your most favorite part of hosting the shows?

When stuff goes wrong. I love it!

I have been legally advised not to answer this question.

What do you think about aliens? Are they real and do they exist here on Earth?

OF COURSE THEY’RE REAL! Have you people not heard of Tom Cruise?

Do you play any sports? What else do you do apart from being a most awesome show host?

I loathe sports! Ew.

Aside from computer/television, I do lots of stuff like… baking! My peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are the best cookies in the world ever! I also play the piano & I play with Ralph and Monty and be antisocial.

If you could give someone starting some advice, what would you give? Does it include minions?

It involves firearms and minions, yes.

What is your biggest secret hidden talent? How did you come by this talent?

Yelling really really loud!!! It came about when I was in Drama when I was 11, and we were doing a scene where I had to come out of the curtains and scream manically at two girls. I was pretty quiet in class mostly, but I scared everybody in the room and one of the girls was so stunned she’d forgotten her line. Don’t mess with me *z-click*

What is something your mother told you that came true?

If you eat all of those biscuits, you won’t want your tea (dinner)! I didn’t want my tea (dinner) after.

What gave you the idea to start a Neopets podcast?

Podcasting was a relatively new phenomenon in August 2006 when all the current major podcasting groups were just starting. I say “relatively new” because although the podcasting software was available years before, it was during August 2006 that it began its first big swoop into mainstream awareness partly due to the iPod and iTunes revolution. As any budding entrepreneur would do, I wanted to get in early and have an activity for the PPT community to participate in. The idea of The PPT Show was perfect!

What is your favorite podcast episode? Why?

I don’t have a particularly favorite episode as each one I find has its own quirks and charms. I really do like listening to the blooper reels though. They make me laugh; and listening back to earlier episodes are always a nice thing to do as like reading a book for a second time, each time you re-read it, you pick up something new that you didn’t before.

Where do you live? How old are you?

I currently live in Australia but I travel the world; I call Australia my home though. Last time someone asked me how old I was, I told them I was three and a half. That was a few years ago though. I’m guessing this now makes me either three and three quarters or four.

If you could have any guest host on the show, who would it be? Why?

Now that’s an easy one. The great being known in existence, God or Jesus Christ. Of course, looking to a more realistic angle, having someone like Adam Powell or Donna Williams, the creators of Neopets, on it would really be the icing on the cake. (Adam and Donna if you’re reading!!) Of course, any staff member on the show would be freakin’ awesome too!

What is your favorite thing about Neopets? What is your favorite thing about PPT?

Neopets I would have to say the community. Same goes for PPT. You know what they say, home is where the heart is.

Who would you recommend the listeners to stay away from unless they want to get bitten?

I think Evan is a little bit rabid sometimes. Same goes for Emma. I really worry about those two sometimes.

How did you get started at The PPT Show?

Well, I started working for the PPT as a TCG writer. The podcast at the time only had a few episodes. I asked Kym about the podcast, and he’d said they were going to record a new episode soon (at this point it had been a while since episode 4 had been released). I asked if I could host and he said sure.

What is your favorite memory?

On the podcast? Or in real life? Well, on the podcast my favorite memory would have to be all the hilarious times we had in the early episodes. Even when I listen to those old episodes today I still crack up!

In real life, well, I have a lot of favorite memories. I have to say one of my favorites is going to work with my mom. I’ve been doing that ever since I was really young. She works in radio (and still does; she’s a traffic reporter for the NY area on many stations including Sirius satellite radio) but when I was 2 or 3 she reported traffic live (and on camera too) for Fox 5’s morning show. I’d always beg her to pick me up and show me in the camera. Fun stuff.

Where do you hope to see the show progress in the future?

I just hope the show continues to grow larger. Its already grown so large since when it started. I hope the show progresses more especially in feedback. I love reading the listener’s comments and thoughts. It makes me happy and I hope you guys keep sending more in.

Do you think you’ve improved as a host?

Yeah, I do. I find when I listen to earlier episodes I sound so weird, like, I can’t stand listening to myself at all. I am a lot more comfortable listening to myself in more recent episodes.

Who do you think is the craziest host and why?

I think all the hosts are crazy!! But which ones the craziest? Hm, that’s tough. I’d have to say, uh… EMMA.

What do you think you bring to the PPT show team?

I’m not sure. I know I bring something, but I haven’t figured out yet (neither have most). I think I definitely bring something, though. I mean, every host brings something!

How come you have so much knowledge about Neopets?

I do? I didn’t get the memo, sorry. I think I am knowledgeable in some areas when it comes to Neopets but in others… eh.

Do you perhaps see yourself hosting a live TV show episode in the future?

Oooh! A live TV show! I definitely wouldn’t mind that. As for seeing myself doing it in the future, I hope so… but I dunno. I see myself on radio or something computer related.

How do you maintain the flow of the conversation when you’re recording episodes?

Well, I just keep talking, and don’t stop until someone else picks it up. I also pick up other’s peoples thoughts and interrupt people a lot. Wow, I’m a terrible person!

What is the best aspect of hosting these shows and what is the most challenging?

All the good times and the friends I’ve made, the insanity, the hilariousness, and just… everything. I love doing (and listening to) The PPT Show episodes!
