Giveaway Mania

If you should peer into the No Nutritional Value board (also known as NNV), you would notice a variety of topics.

Some are games, such as Werewolf, which I featured last issue. You'll also see a large number of set contests going on, with various prizes. But on top of that, you'll notice several giveaways running at any given time.

Many of the PPTers are quite generous, and willing to share, setting up a giveaway every now and then. There have been giveaways of codestones, faeries, scratch cards, and random items from people's SDBs. I myself held a giveaway consisting of a number of Trick or Treat Bags from last year's Halloween. The fact that I held it this year in April is completely irrelevant, mind you. :P

However, as much as I'd like to mention everyone who's held a giveaway, there are just too many people. Add to the fact that I'm lazy and I have schoolwork, and you'll realize that it's never going to happen. There is one person who stands out above the rest though, who I shall dub the 'Giveaway Queen'.

She's not one to hold giveaways randomly - instead, she holds them monthly. Each giveaway has a different theme, and everyone's welcome to join in. In fact, she recently held a giveaway for Halloween, in which she gave out about 20k worth of items – to each person.

Haven't worked out whom I'm talking about yet? I'm talking about Jasujo, one of the newest mods to PPT, and one of the most generous people I've met. Of course, I might be biased, since she's my double mother. ;) (LJ meme. Don't ask.)

Every month without fail, there's a new topic stating that the Monthly Giveaway has started. Jas has tried to bribe the admins into letting her stickying the thread, but so far she's had no success. :P She's even tried to get it to become the Official PPT Monthly Giveaway (Oooh, sounds fancy!)

When I brought up the idea of featuring Jas's giveaways in the Pink Ink, she thought it was a great idea. "It'll be really good, because more people will know about the giveaways this way," she says. And what better way to inform people than through PPT's own newspaper?

The Halloween giveaway has reached its peak, and December is drawing near. I'm sure that Jas has plans for a Christmas giveaway, once again proving her generosity by gaming to earn neopoints to support it. The only question is what will the giveaway hold in store for us PPTers?

Jas is probably going to kill me for this bit, but I think it's fair – the Giveaway Queen deserves a reward for all the effort she's put into her countless giveaways. If you're interested in contributing towards a gift fund for Jas, PM me on the forums, and I'll give you the details.
