Greetings from Jacob[edit]

Greetings! Just thought I would stop by and say hello. If you are unaware, I am Jacob, former admin of the NeoDex. It's been awhile since I've been around, and while I don't know what's really happened between now and then, I still have some articles I've been meaning to touch upon. It's good to see you've taken to the NeoDex, and have even made use of the username space provided to users. And I thought only I and a few others would do so. ;) --Jacob 06:35, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Hiya there Jacob. Yes I have read the NeoDex before and I do know you. I wondered about your long absence somehow.

User:Hagrid835[edit]

Hi, just wondering, should we tag his sockpuppets and request for them to be blocked even if they are not used for vandalism but are used for good faith edits? Pinkgirl34 16:37, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Nope. Destiny Charlotte 16:52, 27 September 2009 (UTC) Good faith edits should always be welcome.
And to be sure the accounts are sock, mind you. No socks please, but be sure something is a sock at least. ;) --Jacob 23:45, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
My suggestion is that you please leave the good faith edits there, since you said above earlier that good faith edits are always welcome. For example, this user has reverted vandalism by another IP, and by reverting him you've just placed the vandalism back on the page, as shown here. Pinkgirl34 00:07, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

They should be blocked/deleted/suspended/etc. to begin with since they are targeting a single editor who they are not. That is the point. If they are the same person...then we have an issue. The edits can stay if they are valid, but whoever that editor is cannot and will not edit from an account that pokes at another editor. Final. --Jacob 00:30, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

I agree, Jacob. --Destiny 00:53, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
I see. I agree that they should be blocked because their usernames are obviously inappropriate. But I suggest keeping the edits, just like what you suggested earlier. Pinkgirl34 01:38, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
I'll block the user then but leave a message as to why the block is there. --Dizzy 04:23, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Game Infobox Template[edit]

I'm just wondering, what's the proper way of using the template format? Thanks. Pinkgirl34 02:36, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Sample game infobox:
{{Infobox Game| GameImage=gameimage
|GameID=gameid
|World=gameworld
|Categories=gamecategories
|Ratio=gameratios}}

Deletion???[edit]

So, it's neopets related, and it's on his own user page... I'm not sure why you felt the need to delete it. You have lists of random stuff on your user page... -Cath 21:59, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Those things don't exist though. I'm sorry. Destiny 22:28, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
The Blue Kacheek Group does exist. Maybe it's his fan-fic. The links to pages should go, but the rest is as relevant as you listing your NFs, the people you hate, and your nicknames. -Cath 23:33, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
I think it has always been policy that a user is free to do on his user page whatever he pleases, as long as he doesn't break any rules (such as, but not limited to: create unnecessary links, uses his page only for advertising, pretend he is another user or a celebrity, use curse words etc...). I agree a clarification is needed, since it isn't written down anywhere.--Demon 00:52, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

If anyone can uncapitalize this page for me, thank you.[edit]

You want it changed to A neezles a? --Dizzy 20:10, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

No, I want my page to be uncaptalized. The vandalism never got reverted.
Looking at the page history, this is the last non-capitalized version. --Pinkgirl 20:49, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't know how to revert back to that one though.
I reverted it. In cases like this all you have to do is go to the version of the page you want, click the edit button and save. --Dizzy 01:22, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
Drat it, I only now realized I deleted all the changes you made to the page. I'll manually de-capitalize it myself instead :) --Dizzy 01:25, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! --Destiny 02:39, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Promotion[edit]

Congratulations on getting admin powers!! :D --Dizzy 00:48, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Thank you!! :) --Destiny 00:48, 16 November 2009 (UTC) *roar at vandals*
Congrats! --Pinkgirl 02:25, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! --Destiny 02:30, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Zombie Attack[edit]

I figured out what's going on. Your account hasn't been hacked. Rather the vandal has created an account spelled A NeezIes A (the L is actually a capital i but it looks like a lower case L on the recent changes page. You can tell the fake by looking at the address url above). This same letter switch was pulled on some of the moved articles. I've permanently blocked the impersonator. --Dizzy 20:52, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

OH! Thank you so much for letting me know. I was sooooo worried. I created this backup account for nothing. You're the best :) Destiny 20:53, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome ^_^ That tricky vandal even copied your user page and talk page to throw us off. I'm glad this scare is over - really freaked us all out. --Dizzy 20:57, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
That'd also explain why my contributions didn't show anything. Those sneaky vandals, always trying something new... --Destiny 21:00, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
