Red Techo as of June 19, 2006.

The Techo is a gecko-like Neopet created on June 7, 2000.

Overview

Techos are rarely unhappy, and enjoy looking on the bright side of life and having a good laugh. They are very agile and blessed with exceptional acrobatic skills. Wanting to be the centre of attention at all times, Techos enjoy making other Neopets laugh by performing acrobatic stunts and telling jokes. Fun loving and comical, Techos are said to be perfect for users with a wicked sense of humour.

Colours

As of October 2008, the Techo can be seen in 41 different colours. There is some confusion with the Cloud colour, as it's stated to have been released on September 9, 2001, but then on the 13th four days later. This might have been a Paint Brush error, and not have been activated until the 13th.

With the redesign of the Techo on (need date), the following colours were updated as follows...

  • November 29, 2003 - Rainbow, Pirate and Shadow
  • November 20, 2003 - Sketch
  • December 3, 2003 - Split and Speckled
  • December 8, 2003 - Mutant
  • December 10, 2003 - Starry and Spotted

Merchandise

The Techo is not featured in as many merchandise as other Neopets, but they can be placed in most of their colours on the shirts provided at Zazzle. They were also introduced in the Neopets TCG from the Mystery Island expansion.
