Merger with Faerieland[edit]

Just as Happy Valley and the Ice Caves are part of Terror Mountain, Faerie City is part of Faerieland. A section for it should be created there. --Jacob 18:33, 4 Jul 2007 (UTC)

I agree with a merge. Most of Faerieland IS Faerie City. DreamingLady 09:08, 5 Jul 2007 (UTC)

I suppose, yes. --Macbeth 14:36, 5 Jul 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I think it would be good separated, as it is a distinct area in NQII --Macbeth 17:52, 27 Jul 2007 (UTC)
Something i wanted to talk to you about as well: Should we even be making articles for all those locations in NeoQuest II? For all we know they don't exist, because they are part of a hologram. They can be spoken of possible locations within the main world article, but as articles by themselves? doesn't seem right. :o I do like the fact you are bringing this up in conversation, as it's one of the many things which hasn't been discussed yet, because i would like some notification about these areas...how we are going to do it though...*shrugs* --Jacob 22:17, 27 Jul 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, they are most likely fictional, but by the same coin, so are all the Neopets worlds. Sure, the NQII locations slightly more so, as they are fiction-within-fiction, but... They are sites where detailed and elaborate plot arcs are involved - the NeoQuest series is much more immersive than most Neopets games, after all. They have a dedicated NeoBoard, for a start, and even the NeoDex acknowledges NQ's in-depthness, giving them their own categories.
Wikipedia often has articles for fictional locations in large video games or novels, especially reoccurring ones, it would seem.
I believe there is enough content available to fill such articles, and they would make worthy additions to the NeoDex. --Macbeth 16:52, 28 Jul 2007 (UTC)

I agree with the fact articles of that type should be created. Just how to do it is another matter. They won't be the "Neopian Locations" category, as that only refers to small locations within worlds. Should world categories be created as well? All articles relating to Meridell recieving the Meridell category?

I still think the merger with Faerieland is valid...unless we are going to start making seperate articles for the Deserted Fairgrounds, The Ice Caves, and Meri Acres Farms as well. --Jacob 00:04, 29 Jul 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps categories NeoQuest II Act One, NeoQuest II Act Two, etc, within the NeoQuest II category could be used. And a NeoQuest II Locations category, I suppose.
Were it to merge, it would have to have its own section, I think. Perhaps we should make seperate articles for Meri Acres Farm, The Ice Cave, etc, as we did for Brightvale and Darigan Citadel? --Macbeth 00:20, 29 Jul 2007 (UTC)
To the "NeoQuest II Act ?" idea: NO! :S Such a category seems too pointless to exist. If you are going that route, just link the "NeoQuest II" category.
Brightvale and Darigan Citadel have their own articles because they are now viewed as their own seperate worlds (via Altador Cup). The Ice Caves and Happy Valley are part of Terror Mountain, the main world name. The same way Faerie City is. Yes, it would get its own section in the Faerieland article if part of it, where the difference between the real city and NQII city could be explained. -- This comment was left unsigned by Jacob (talk | contribs)
*sigh*... We'll integrate, shall we? --Macbeth 17:02, 29 Jul 2007 (UTC)
