A Sponsor Game is a game created as an advertisement for products in the real world, paid for by companies. Some sponsor games may have Neopets starring in them, while others feature characters and thems specifically from the sponsored product. Because they are not official games, they have no high score tables, but a high score will still be posted in the users high score list. Sponsor games are featured on the site for a limited time only, after which they are removed. Over time, sponsor games have made up over half of all total games playable on Neopets, and a list of all of them can be seen here.
Trivia
- The Top Gamer avatar can only be acquired when 250 different high scores are tallied for games. As there are less than 250 official Neopets games, playing sponsor games are the only way to gain this avatar.
