Roo Island

Roo Island is a Mini-World in Neopia ruled by King Roo, a Blumaroo. It is a small (approximately 50 miles by 100 miles) island situated 30 miles east off the coast of Neopia Central and connected by a rainbow. The weather in Roo Island fairly warm year-round, with light showers almost daily. It's the wettest in the spring and fall months. It is the only place in Neopia that is dedicated to a single species that isn't limited edition.

There are three main towns on Roo Island: Roo City, Blumaria, and the Art District. Each of the towns is connected via a well-kept road, and trade caravans are not uncommon. There are also a handful of little villages dotted around the island.

Roo City

Roo City is the largest town on the island and is home to the royal Roo Palace, home of King Roo. The Dice-A-Roo Tournament Hall is also located in Roo City. Once a year, the Tournament Hall houses the biggest Dice-a-roo tournament in Neopia, but smaller games can be played every day.

Blumaria

Art District

Inhabitants

Roo Island is heavily populated with Blumaroos. According to a survey done for an old Neopedia article, 95% of the population of 275,000 inhabitants are Blumaroos (4/5 Blumaroos are born there). Several of the buildings are designed to resemble Blumaroos, particularly the palace of King Roo, and the Colouring Pages building is reminiscent of a Blumaroo tail. For those non-Blumaroos, all buildings in the shopping district are shaped like little huts.

Main article: Team Roo Island

Known as "the underdogs of the cup", Roo Island shock all int the first cup when a small team from a small island made all the way to 4th place. With an average finish of 4th place, their is no doubt that Roo Island is one of the best teams in the league. Roo Island won the Altador Cup in 2008 and though they suffered from the "Winner's Curse" worse than any other team, they were also the quickest to recover.
