The Erisim is a snake-like Desert Petpet released on June 26, 2001. Erisims travel in packs making scary cackling noises during the night. Large monstrous Erisim are charged with protecting the ancient Temple of Roo featured in NeoQuest I.

In Neopets: Petpet Adventures - The Wand of Wishing the advisor to the Empress of Miamecca is a red Erisim called The Erisim Advisor and is a main villain and a boss.

As of August 2008, the Erisim can come in nine different colours:

Blue - Natural Brown - February 15, 2005 Faerie - January 13, 2005

Glowing - February 15, 2005 Green - January 13, 2005 Rainbow - February 15, 2005

Red - January 13, 2005 White - January 13, 2005 Yellow - February 15, 2005
