It was soon revealed the potions were cursed rather than a blessing, and the inhabitants of the city were turned into monstrous forms of their own desires, and sought revenge for what Mr. Krawley did to them. He disappered before this could happen, however, and they moved their anger to Bruno and his family instead for causing the problem to spread in the first place.
