Scarabug

The Scarabug is a Desert Petpet resembling a scarab. They make a loud humming noise and often travel in huge swarms. They were first seen in Neopia on June 5th, 2001. They were redesigned on August 10th, 2005 at which time all the currently available colors were released.

• August 10, 2005 was Scarabug themed. On that day, 8 of the 9 Scarabug-themed items were released (4 Toys and 4 Petpet Supplies), as was an Avatar, Desktop Background, Shop Blog, and Caption Competition.
