The Scarab Ring is a popular 6-icon Battledome Equipment item. It originates from the Lost Desert Scratchcards, released on (need date).

In the Battledome, the Scarab Ring does 6 icons of damage: 2 of water, 2 of darkness and two of physical. It also defends 3 fire and physical icons. Due to the diversity of their attack and their defence, Scarab Rings are often used in pairs in low level Battledome fights. Scarab Rings are also often used in intermediate level battling as an auxiliary weapon thanks to its defence combination: it can minimize damage from Garoo Elite Blaster and Sword of Apocalypse and completely block other weapons such as the Scroll of Flame Strike.

Since its release, its widespread availability has noticeably altered the Neopian economy in respect to Battledome Equipment, lowering the price of many other 6-icon weapons. Considered a good, low-cost weapon for low-level Neopets, it could be bought for less than 2,500 Neopoints at User Shops as of July 2007.
