Kastraliss is a giant Hissi who prowls the southern swamps of Meridell, like Bogshot, spreading death and decay. Is the fourteenth opponent in Defenders of Neopia.

Kastraliss first caused trouble in Altador. He would constantly attack the Kingdom, causing huge problems. The Twelve Heroes evantually drove him from the land, and into Bogshot Swamp. He forced the villagers to build him a huge monument. Soon after, the town's residents gained their courage, and killed him.

Kastraliss is resurrected by The Darkest Faerie's magic. He spreads a plague around the village, and ties darkness to the land. Tormund and Roberta Come and defeat him, making the purple clouds disappear, and makes the Black Bogberries available. This frees Bogshot from the Purple clouds, as well as the steppes and most of the Crossroads.
