During the LDP, Nabile secretly fell in love with [[Jazan]] after reading about his tragic life and the curse the befallen upon him, and eventually they were married in the Sakhmet palace, bringing the city back from the alternate dimension it had been placed in by a curse.

Jazan returned to [[Qasala]] with Nabile, and together they planned the rebuilding of the ruined city, but Jazan soon realized Nabile was unhappy living amongst the ruins and sent her back to Sakhmet, hoping she would be happier there.

Soon, however, Jazan's father, [[Razul]], attacked Sakhmet after being freed from his imprisonment, seemingly because of Nabile and Jazan's marriage.

As his attack took place, the weak and dying Jazan realized his beloved was in danger and came to her rescue, but things had turned out differently as Nabile ended up saving him by standing in front of an attack made by Razul which was meant to kill Jazan.

The Neopets Lost Desert Plot was one of the more comprehensive plots [[Neopets]] had ever released. Not only were the puzzles difficult, it is the first time Neopets implemented a plot which required people to actively participate if they wanted to progress. The large [[Temple of 1,000 Tombs]], unique to each user and requiring extensive mapping, as well as the enormously large [[Scroll Repository]] brought on a phenomenon known as '''OLDPD''' (Obsessive Lost Desert Plot Disorder).

During the beginning, most of the participants barely left their computers for fear of missing out on an important event that would possibly exclude them out of the plot; this would not be the case, however.

Extremely long waiting times, sometimes weeks long, drove Neopets’ users crazy with anticipation for new clues and/or parts to be released that would allow them to continue. This, combined with increasingly harder tasks sometimes taking 5-6 hours to complete, eventually weeded out most of those who had been there from the start.

The Fountain Faerie may give you a [[quest]], through a [[random event]], which requires you to fetch her a certain item, usually very valuable. As a reward for completing the quest, the Fountain Faerie will allow you to change the [[colour]] of the [[Neopet]] of your choice, (though with some exceptions), such as ''royal'', ''baby'' and ''[[MSP]]''. If you are NOT on her quest then her fountain will not appear to be working.

Because of the rising cost of [[Paint Brush|Paint Brushes]] the Fountain Faerie is often a lot cheaper than other options to change the colour of your pet. For this reason the quests are often anticipated by the players. This exquisite creature is not as defenseless as she may seem for she is the legendary battle faerie. Once peace was brought to Neopia the Battle Faerie disappeared. Nobody knew what happened to this strange creature, it was thought that she simply flew off to another realm where battles were still raging.

Digital [[Karma]] measured your diservingness of bonuses and Neopets and AAA were the first few to add this as a feature although they both were very defensive about telling the users that this had happened. Generous users started getting more "good" random events and although the exact formula is (of course) [[secret]] it works like this:

* old: Number = Random_number(1 to 6); if Number = 6 do_random_event;
* new: Random_number(1 to 6) * Karma; if Number > 6 do_random_event;

I doubt the NeoFormula is quite that simple but that is the principle so the bigger you secret Karma score is the better... however each test/random (I'm not sure which) makes the Karma score slip back down... also time causes the Karma to decay too so you have to top it up.

The most common random events are a small graphic that has these three words at the top. These events can be beneficial (such as finding [[neopoints]] or an item), neutral (such as having a draik fly overhead on the way to [[Neopia#Krawk Island|Krawk Island]]), or detrimental (ghosts stealing [[neopoints]] from you and putting them on the [[Money Tree]].

Unlocking an [[avatar]] is a "something has happened" event, although these are not always random, since the means for obtaining avatars are widely known.

A subset of the "something has happened" events are local events. These generally are neutral, and have a title like "Wintery Random Event" or "Tyrannian Random Event," as they only happen in a specific world.

Just after the [[Wishing Well]] was added there was a new wave of an idea spreading about the on line game world and the idea was KARMA. Digital [[Karma]] measured your diservingness of bonuses and Neopets and AAA were the first few to add this as a feature although they both were very defensive about telling the users that this had happened. Generous users started getting more "good" random events and although the exact formula is (of course) [[secret]] it works like this:

* old: Number = Random_number(1 to 6); if Number = 6 do_random_event;
* new: Random_number(1 to 6) * Karma; if Number > 6 do_random_event;

I doubt the NeoFormula is quite that simple but that is the principle so the bigger you secret Karma score is the better... however each test/random (I'm not sure which) makes the Karma score slip back down... also time causes the Karma to decay too so you have to top it up.

As of yet the Karma system does not seem sensitive to value so donating 100 NP in 1 NP units would get you 100 lots of donation Karma. Karma also influences wishing well wishes (the original reason it was added).

Although a player can literally refresh the same page repeatedly, it's generally considered less boring to move about the site (preferably without using bookmarks, so that more screens are viewed).
