'''Kadoaties''' are cat-like [[Petpets]] released on May 29, 2001, which refuse to sleep in the dark. Should the lights go out, the Kadoatie will cry continuously until they are turned back on, making sleeping with the lights on the only option for most [[Neopet]]s who own them. When their owners are going on vacation, Kadoaties are sometimes placed in the [[Kadoatery]], where they get lonely and hungry, waiting for someone to feed them. The requirements to feed Kadoaties can be costly because of their very expensive tastes, such as for [[Draik]] Eggs. Kadoaties might be such gourmands because they are owned by the wealthiest Neopians. Uncolored Kadoaties can reach prices of over 4.5 million neopoints, so the wealthiest Neopets who can buy Kadoaties can give them pretty much anything they want. A poor Kadoatie was a victim of the [[Mootix Drop]] game and they are also the victim in the game [[Warf Rescue Team]], where [[Warf]]s help them get down from a really high tree branch.
