Petpets (sometimes PetPets) are pets for a user's Neopet. They are classified as items, and can be attached to a Neopet much like weapons. Most Petpets can be purchased in official Neopian shops, but some are gained only by other activities, such as using the Cooking Pot.

For a long time, Petpets could not be painted, but this was changed on October 2, 2001 with the introduction of the Petpet Paint Brush, which is used at the Petpet Puddle. Later, on August 3, 2005, the Petpet Lab Ray was introduced. Like the Neopet Lab Ray, the Petpet equivalent can alter a Petpet's colour and other statistics, such as species, level and name. The Petpet even has a chance of being completely destroyed.

A Petpet can also gain levels at the Petpet Battledome and by waking the Turmaculus, but its levels will not be retained if the Petpet is ever removed from its Neopet. In turn, these levels can help the Neopet in the Battledome, acting as an attack multiplier.

There are also Petpetpets, parasites that live on Petpets, which are a pet to the Petpet.

In a very distant corner of Neopia, a strange town exists built entirely of orange jelly. Nobody knows how it got there, perhaps a magic spell that backfired, or perhaps it was commissioned by an eccentric Neopian billionaire with a sweet tooth, who knows! Visitors are always reminded to not eat the buildings.

The first reference to Jelly World was in the New Features section on 30th March 2002, where it says "...and of course the upcoming new world 'Jelly World'...". Countless times The Neopets Team has denied the existence of Jelly World (which, interestingly, was TNT's first reaction to Robot Neopets. It is their own little secret. Jelly World has had several links to by people claiming it exists, including one in a quote by Number Five in Cellblock, but all the links are dead ends, similar to the links given to the Hidden Tower.

The most notable attraction is the Giant Jelly, simliar to the Giant Omelette in Tyrannia, but each plate of jelly gives out two servings instead of three.
Millions of Petpets attached to a Neopet ran away on the 12th June 2003. They were, in fact, gorging themselves on the Green Jelly in Jelly World and shortly returned on the 24th June 2003.
<blockquote>"A well known fact of The Snowager is that he is infact an overgrown Snowickle."</blockquote>
Do we have a source for that comment? --Macbeth 19:39, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
:You don't need a source. it's a well known fact. They hoard like the snowager and the item description is "This demanding little beast loves to collect shiny things and cries when you take them away from it." it's a baby Snowager, just like the Turmac is a baby version to you know what. --Jacob 19:48, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
Well, just because two creatures have similarities doesn't mean one is an overgrown version of the other... yes, similarities are there, but what about the notable lack of limbs? After all, the Sea Slug is not a giant Slorg, or a giant Slugawoo and Snowbeasts are not overgrown Polarchucks. I find it very probably that there is some sort of link between the Snowager and the Snowickles, but I don't see how we can call it a 'well known fact' when it is speculation - fanlore, if you will... --Macbeth 21:57, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
:Turmac --> Turmaculus, Snowickle --> Snowager, Snicklebeast --> Snowbeast, Slugawoo --> Slug Monster, Baby Space Fungus--> Giant Space Fungus...these are all the petpet/monster associations i know, and they are fact. Cute and cuddly petpets turned into fearsome monsters...it's a common story (don't know what, but oh well). I agree the "well known fact" should be revised, as it implies everyone knows, which isn't a ver neutral thing for a wiki to say. However, the fact remains these petpets and their monsters counterparts are related, and will be mentioned as such. --Jacob 22:26, 8 Aug 2006 (CDT)
As it happens, I do recall an editorial which stated that the slug monster hand no relation to the slugawoo. But that aside, there is nothing official to categorically state there is a relationship, specifically, that one is the "overgrown" counterpart of the other. I agree with you in that there does appear to be a relationship, intentionally left by the artists: I agree there is evidence for such a relationship, but there isn't anything to confirm this... Saying, perhaps, that "there appears to be a similarities in both the visual representation and what is known of the behaviour of the Snowager and the Petpet Snowickle, prompting some to suggest a relationship akin to the Turmaculus-Turmac relationship." would be more accurate, in my opinion... --Macbeth 02:05, 10 Aug 2006 (CDT)
:Do I have any response to this? Shall I change it to something akin to the suggestion I made, or...? --Macbeth 21:56, 13 Aug 2006 (CDT)
You know my opinion on it all, so keep it in mind that there is a similarity or a connection when you are writing the descriptions of the petpets and their monster adaptions. edits will be made where nessesary, as is the purpose and intention of a wiki, to be edited and added to for perfection. --Jacob 22:08, 13 Aug 2006 (CDT)
:I have reworked the sentence in question, although I think it may have gotten a bit wordy :S. --Macbeth 00:05, 14 Aug 2006 (CDT)
* It's uncertain if there is one single Pant Devil or several of them, as the Pant Devil's Gallery of Evil entry says "They have been spotted all over Neopia", and two of them are fought in NeoQuest II.
