Neoquest II... Heeeelp

#1 Post by ScottNak »

Yikes, Its definitely been a while since we've had to split this lil' guy. But we've done it again!!

List your questions and problemas here about NQ2 and people will come to your aid.

But first... be sure to take a look at some past resources!

1) Zee last thread.

2) Zee In-Depth NeoQuest Guide.

3) [Out of Commission!]

4) Ask away if you're still confuzzled.

Scott, dear, that link doesn't work anymore. My Angeltowns site got shut down a while ago, and I can't seem to find another copy of it anywhere.

If anyone has a copy I'm more than willing to host it.

In other news, I'm starting NQII on Normal on my newer account, and I can't for the life of me remember what skills to go for with Mipsy (DD v. GDD v. Both), and Spira's not online to bug.

Thoughts?

DD does 100 damage to 1 enemy, while GD does 65 damage to 4 enemies.

Personally, i went with DD and found Normal to be quite easy

I know how much damage they do, I've completed the game twice.

I'm just wondering what the best combination is (and if I dont' get both, what else to get), because it's been nearly a year since I played it.

GDD=BAD!!!

:P GDD is very slow to "recharge." It will make Mipsy make her move like every 8 seconds. ._.

I love both. :) I start out with maxing direct damage then GDD after that. Once those two are maxed, then I work on casting haste. I didn't use GDD my first time through the game either, but now I wouldn't play without it. I don't really like anything else nearly as much for Mipsy other than those three (well, and meelee defence later in the game), though damage shields are okay if you're willing to spend a few points in it. But again, I'd max DD and GDD first.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I guess I wasn't too far off the mark for Mipsy.

I just picked up Talinia and was wondering what you recommend as far as skills? Since this is my first time through, I could use a little help.

Definately max out (or raise to 13 or 14) increased bow damage, as she'll be pretty useless without it. (As Talinia's your runner-up offensive character.) Then I'd raise multiple targets to third arrow (if you decide that you really like it later you can go ahead and raise it to fourth arrow, though it's not necessary) and as you level up, put points in shockwave. And of course meelee haste and magic resistance later on. Happy NeoQuesting! :)

Bah I'm going in asgain for evil... I'm up to Mekua. I'm not looking forward to the house, cave, or faeries. I think i'll skip Nox again.

Can anyone post the strategies for the four faries? They're making me shiver :o

Tanwo, your skills are fine, but you may want to level up some more, or the Lost Desert monsters will be a pain to defeat.

For the four faeries, just take them out in the order of their hitpoints (Fire Faerie, then Dark Faerie, etc.) and you'll be fine. :) For added assurance you could try speeding your party too. I'd recommend being level 47, or at very least 45.

Just got to the Faerie Palace Second Floor. Does it make a difference if i go to the NE or NW tower first? Is one Pant Devil more powerful than the other?

It's been some time since I played, but if I remember correctly, the two pant devils are pretty much the same.

Off top of my head, they're exactly the same. Each gives you 1 half of a key
