After a month long horror of that game, a Yooyu as a prize would be rather taunting...

As long as you pressed spacebar to skip the Yooyu's spinning animation, each game took less than 3 minutes. Not by much, but still.

Anywho, I would laugh if our prize was that the game got released as a real game with trophies and neopoints and what not. Watching those that scored a few 1000 games snap would be hilarious XP

I'd like it if they did use some version of the game as a 'real' game, purely because I make most of my NPs off gaming and it's so easy to play :D they'd probably have to make it a bit harder to warrant a decent NP return though.
Signature, eh? We'll see about that...

I personally found it kind of frustrating - I mean, something available to do only on weekends during the Summer? (at least it's Summer where I am)
Since the weekly match usually opened late - sometimes VERY late - on Thursday night, I could only get in a few games before going to bed. Work all day Friday, come home and go to the lake until dinner on Sunday, get in a few more games Sunday night. :(

My games total is pretty low, even though I did get good at it. Sent about 55 games this time, since I had an extra day, but would have contributed much more had there been more time to play on weeknights. My prize will probably be crap, but at least I played all the rounds. Hopefully, Altador Cup won't change too much if it's offered as a regular game, because as it is now, it would be a NP machine! :D

oooOOooo a youyu as a prize would be awesome.

Another thing i thought is that they could give out trophies in your lookup.... maybe like you'd get the sports team with how many points you got under it, or if you won the altador cup, you get an altador cup in your lookup *with the winning teams symbol on it* and how many points you got... oorrrr maybe just the cup. That'd be cool. If you get second you could get a silver altador cup, bronze for 3rd..... im excited since I have a guaranteed 2nd place! *and guaranteed 2nd for the staff tournament too!* yayyyy

Just as long as they give out prizes to those people who chose the winning team (Haunted Woods) at the start of the tournament and stuck with them for the whole tournament, I'll be happy.

I wonder. Suppose Darigan wins. I've played 3 rounds with the same team (Roo Island) and switched after it lost. So I was on the winning team for the finals.
Someone else has played with Haunted Woods for all the time, but after all they ended up on the losing team.
Should I get a bigger prize than the Haunted Woods supporter, or should it be the other way round? Do you think TNT managed to create a fair point system?

Do you think they will end everything in Altador today or possible reveal a connection between plot and cup?

I think the best we can all hope for is that those that gave it a good shot, despite what "level" of number of total games, will all get something nice.

Those that put in extra effort would hopefully get a little more, I suppose.

I personally thought even 10 games a day would be a personal average, if that. Kudos to y'all that can sit and play 50 or 100 at a time, really!

I only managed 200 games overall, but for me *personally* I am actually proud of myself, even though I usually have higher standards (even for my "useless gaming"). Life certainly got in the way of playing, I was sick this last part, and it does get a little repetitive and boring, too.

That factored in, I was just not willing to push myself or extend myself as some might consider it, especially since I know this was all "put on" for a Viacom / MTV promo / affiliation and the bugs (and lack of testing and feedback, the way I see it) from the beginning disappointed me. For that alone the prizes should be "better than we expect" in my opinion. Yooyu petpets for all, our choice of the 4 colors; a nice trophy; and maybe releasing that soccer game or this as a regular Flash game on the site to earn NP should do it for me. Personally, I don't even care who won (heh).

Still dreaming about the Altador plot prizes. :P

that is a good question.... if my team darigan lost, would a newcomer to the haunted woods team get something better than me? hmm... well, hopefully we'll find out today...

I can't imagine I'd get a better prize than you, The Wonder Weezel, or anyone else who stayed loyal to the same team this entire time. I only switched out of necessity; all of my teams (save for Roo Island the second round) lost.

Prizes will hopefully be ranked along these lines (in my ideal world, anyway):

Memebr of THE winning team all 4 rounds > Member of THE winning team last three rounds > member of THE winning team last two rounds > member of A winning team three rounds prior to final round > member of THE winning team last round > member of A winning team any two non-final rounds > member of A winning team any non-final round > playing all four rounds, regardless of team (i.e., they all lost)

I'm sure I'm missing something.

WOOOOOO!

*does the "I was on a winning team" dance*

It was a very close game indeed. I honestly expected to be trumpled, yet again, by Darigan.

Edit:

If you weren't sided with the Cup winners, don't worry! We're currently tallying everyone's scores, and we'll have prizes available early next week for all those who participated. (And a chance to win even MORE prizes in a day or two, so keep checking back!)

It's not frickin' over?! Ugh....

Next time ill read a book.

... God it better be over. I don't have the attention span to do anything else for this thing. I just want it to be over with and for the Altador Cup Board on Neopets to go away so I don't have to listen to the braggarts for too much longer.
