Do they? Where's that actually stated, 'cuz I haven't seen any official Altador Cup info...

Wasn't there a mention of there being an Altador Cup this year in the Neopets Magazine? Not positive, I don't get the magazine, but it seems like that's what everyone was saying...

Discussion/speculation about the Altador Cup this year should go in this thread so that the Lost Isle discussion threads are only about the Lost Isle. :)

Tried the tabbing technique to no avail for the jaw bone? Any tips?
I'm running Firefox on Mac OSX if it makes any difference.

I posted this once before: I'm on a Mac also, but used Safari, though Firefox should work also:

Dylan was wonderful for helping out with this (THANKS DYLAN) Here's his link. This should help:

P.S. Let me know it this doesn't work. There IS another way. Tabbing just makes it easier for those who can.

New Challenger

#68 Post by UsernameTwo »

There is a new challenger in the battledome.

Petpetpet Horde 235 +0

They use both a jade scorchstone, and a thyoras tear. *rolls eyes* The opponents in this 'war' certainly got more difficult in a hurry!

Yep, I went and clicked on the battledome after I read the comic and the Petpetpet Horde was there waiting for me. I will be sitting that battle out, hehe. Good luck!

I've found that my Volcanic Bow Gun really does a good bit of damage, maybe about 20 or so HP...but there's sooooooooo much more to go, lol. I had to withdraw from my first fight. Gonna try again later tonite

Horde...

#71 Post by UsernameTwo »

Interesting. I've put in ten battles, and so far this opponent hasn't used their T-Tear or Jade ST more than once per battle. Though they do also freeze, with a petpetpet venom. And they do use drain life more than once per battle. Gain of 23 hp per win.

Maybe (hopefully?) this means that TNT finally fixed the annoyance that was the previous wars, where opponents would use Jade's and Tears multiple times in succession?

I'm finding the first rounds difficult, since my weapons don't match Jades and Tears by a long shot. But once those are out of the way, it's a piece of cake. The Horde's weapons seem quite weak. He's not a heavy hitter.

Edit to add: ok, I take that back. Seems the horde has a petpetpet quill, which does 12 icons, combined with berserk attack does 250HP of damage. Which knocked me out, when he used it several times in a row I wasn't able to heal fast enough. The other weapons aren't as strong, though.

The Horde's no Moach. It has higher HP, but it's not very "smart." It attacked me with no weapons multiple times, its attacks are generally weaker, and it didn't use either its Jade Scorchstone or its Thyora's Tear in my first battle. People with lower-level pets, don't be put off by the "235." You can beat the Petpetpet Horde with a bit of luck.

Get the clamshell to board the ship

Good job! The ship now looks seaworthy enough for a voyage home. Better hurry and get on board. You want to escape this place before those Petpetpets get to you...
