Interesting. I discarded my rotting and decaying, and got this message.

"You spend a few minutes weaving the vines you've collected into a rope. You tie your rope to a tree and toss it over the cliff. Your rope is barely strong enough! It'll support Bruno's weight, but you probably shouldn't leave him on it too long. Your rope is too long, and some kind of monster grabs it and yanks it off the cliff! You'll have to make another one."

I had 6 Icky, 6 Crumbling, and 5 Gross.

Does anyone know what to do in the event of a dead end? I cannot pick up or click any thing whatsoever, I can't get out with refreshing or going back to the Shack or anything. I lost my stick after I poked the Hissi but didn't get any response from the stupid two-faced fake snake anyway.

EDIT: Cerise! Hugs. We seem to be in the same predicament?

I just pressed the Back button on my browser, it took me back to the beginning but I still had all of the vines I collected before, the stick disapears after you poke the hissi.

This works particularly well in tabbed browsers. Since someone claimed that going to your quest inventory starts the forest thing over again, just open your quest inventory in a new window. That should tell you the names.

For anjuna and cerise: I got stuck at a dead end too at one point...it was before I found my stick at all. I had to go back to the regular Haunted Woods and go to Sophie's Shack again. Then, I was started in a different place in the woods...this was also before the server change, so I don't know if that maybe had anything to do with it. Maybe try clearing your cookies, cache, and such just to make sure.

The pointy stick is definitely in my quest items. I seem to be stuck at a dead end too. Before the DB move, my stick WAS over on the side with the arrow, but I couldnt get the Hissi to say anything when I poked him.

You're welcome, also if you have a tabbed browser do what ArwenEarendil suggested opening another tab or window, so you don't have to go back.

My stick has disappeared from both inventories.

After I hit the Hissi.
