It's been going on steadily for the past year or so now, so I'd say they were simply trying to attract new users to the site and keep us interested. I know it seems completely illogical for TNT to do something so logical, but sometimes the simplest answer is the most probable.

However in the case of the Spyder... it has had colors recently in the previous form. In the case Magaral only got a redraw in the recent colors simply because it's been ages since they gave the petpet any variations (and I'm assuming they couldn't use the base for the orignial petpet for one reason or another)

Not sure how interesting people will find that, the tuskaninny ones are the ones that caught my eye as it hints towards what the revamp may be like (the petpages of the newer pets, yurble, bori etc, have images almost identical to the pets themselves rather than spiffyfied versions).

Oh, I liked the Tuskaninny back when it looked like the rest of the pets, but as it grew farther and farther apart, look wise, I started to not like it. Now, if they revamp it like that, make it look more alive and cartoony, and not even too cutesy, I will be happy. So lets just hope that that is a revamp! :)

Hmm.. Random theme = Musical Instruments?

Meaning avatar = playing with an instrument with your pet. Well, thats simple enough, as almost everyone got this guitar from the advent calander last year. The only thing I worry about is TNT making it a specific item, like a Harp for example, or those r99 items. :/

Oh I like the ixi one, like hercules. :P Although, I still prefer my Garin one.

The guitar we got from the Advent Calander last year was called Limited Edition Guitar. Speaking about musical instruments IMO the Pickled Olives should be a musical instrument because you can hit with your hands, paws, whatevers and make music from it when you hit Pickled Olives jar or its lid.
