Four men are burried in the sand up to their heads so they cannot move in any way. Each has a hat on their head. For simplicity's sake, we'll call these people A, B, C and D. A faces east and sees a wall right in front of him. B faces west and also sees the wall. C is right behind B and D is right behind C. A and C wear black hats. B and D wear white hats.

There happens to be a person E who isn't burried in the sand and has a gun. If one guesses the color of his/her own hat wrong, they all die. If someone guesses it right, they all live and are unburried. Because they cannot move, A can only see the wall. B can only see the wall as well. C can see B's hat and the wall. D can see C's hat and B's hat and the wall.

Assuming that that anyone would call out the color of their own hat right away if they knew what it was and they all want to live, who would call it out and why?
