Just a note on the Canadian codes. They're the same for each species, meaning you can redeem them more than once (8 times, in fact). This is why all of the Canadian Rare Item Code items are non-trade. The codes are already being shared across the Neoboards, and even the US folks can redeem them.

The US codes, however, are unique for each bag, and they give you a tradeable item.

So, there's a set number of Canadian codes, and every person can redeem them 8 times each? o_O

That sounds like how it works. And i believe that there are 12 different codes -- one for each pet -- so quite a number of possible prizes.

I went looking for a BK at lunch today, but there was no BK where Google said it would be... so no little toy for me today, but at least I wound up with a better lunch :P

Hm.
I've scanned the neoboards and found a list of 7 of the 12 codes. Still not sure how "safe" it is to redeem them if you're not from Canada, but people on the neoboards have been doing so.

According to JellyNeo's item database, it looks like there's a total of 28 items that are BK/Canada, split equally between four "types": backgrounds, garlands, kites, and balloons. Not sure how that works out for 12 different codes, but if you can redeem each 8 times...that'd give you 96 chances at those 28 items. <shrugs>

I went to the local BK yesterday with my boyfriend and got 2 kids meals. They came in the proper bags and everything. When I redeemed my code, I got a wearable garland and my boyfriend got a book.

I was way more excited that I got a green Shoyru toy though. Out of all the species in the promotion, I was only interested in the Shoyru and Grundo. I also got a yellow Kougra and it isnt as cool as the Shoyru.

Okay, been seeing people posting various places the Canadian BK codes, and TNT isn't removing them from the neoboards (figured best to give it a few days before I posted them here, didn't want to give out bad info).

There are currently 8 of the 12 codes that are being posted:
A967
T673
M547
M823
F213
K563
S246
H483

This petpage seems to be keeping track of things: FurrisMewler's petpage

I don't believe the math actually works quite like that -- each code seems to give you access to a particular set of items. The code on the box of one type of neopet seems to access items related to that neopet and one neopian country. (ex those involving bruce's and terror mountain) Each one seems to have: A pet Balloon, A pet banner, A Country Kite, A Country Flying Disk and a country background. So with 8 different tries and 5 different items you have a (4/5)^8 or 16% chance of not getting any one particular item

Edit:
Looking at the items closer I believe that i'm wrong about the types of items. I think each Country either a Kites or a Flying Disk not both.
That would mean there are only 4 items per country so your chance of not getting an item you want is lower or (3/4)^8, only 10%

Yeah, pretty sure that's right. JellyNeo is up to 33 items.

I went ahead and redeemed the ones so far. I'm kinda bummed, as I didn't get the Poogle Garland or Krawk Island Pirate Ship Background. But I got at least one of each of the other items.

{goes to wait for the last 4 codes to come out}

I really like some of those backgrounds, but Im worried about using the codes because Im not Canadian and didnt buy anything from a Canadian BK. I dont want a frozen account over something as stupid as a Burger King promotion.

You can redeem Canadian codes here http://www.neopets.com/bk/index.phtml?country_code=CA
And USA ones here http://www.neopets.com/bk/index.phtml?country_code=US

But what about those people who live on the US/Canada border who buy from both nation's BK's? I'm sure they'll come out of the woodwork if there is any freezing over this issue. :D

Right now, I'm taking a gamble by buying the books from the BK promo. With any luck, and a lot of patience, the prices will inflate over time and I'll make a nice tidy profit. Then again, I had this same thought when I bought 25k shares of EEEEE... its been a LONG time and I haven't seen any growth there.

I wondered about that too, but as TNT hasn't deleted/locked any of the boards on the Neoboards which are sharing these codes, and other major sites have posted them (namely Jellyneo), I figured it's safe at this point.

Does each code give you the same item 8 times?

I've tried each of the codes once, received a different item from each code.
There were two codes I tried twice, and for each one, I received the same item that I got the first time I redeemed that code.
