Cancellation? I can guarantee that won't happen anytime soon. Even FOX isn't that stupid...they get 30 million + viewers per week and it's signed until at least 2012. It is probably the biggest show on TV now actually.

Didn't Simon say he'd leave if Sanjaya won? I think that'd be pretty devastating for the show.

I was actually not that shocked to see Gina leave, but I thought at least Hayley would've gone home sooner.

Hayley sucks and should leave.

I'm not even going to mention you-know-who in this post, as far as I'm concerned, he's not even in the competiton.

It might be pretty hard for Simon to get out of that contract. He SAYS he's gonna leave, but he's not stupid - he makes what? $38 million/year off the show?

Gina wasn't my favorite but I liked her. She should have gone after Sanjaya, Haley, and Phil.

I agree, she wasn't my favorite but I liked her too.

Haley needs to go as well, but I don't think she's that bad. It's annoying when Simon says her songs are "Forgettable" because they're obviously not if she's still being kept in week after week.

At this point I'm liking Haley more than Phil. Phil is always so lifeless on the stage. -_- He has good vocals, but that's it. He needs to try to be more energetic or something while he's up there. If he would just do that, he would probably be the best of the guys left. Haley's not that bad (it's like Simon is making her out to be as bad as SunDried/whatever name I can stick in without saying his name.) She's just not that great when compared to most of the other people (well... all of them, except maybe "him") . Heck, I kind of prefer her over Chris Richardson, maybe the same. I think she plays the "HEY LOOK AT ME BEING SEXY!" card too much, though.

i think haley should go home too, gina shouldve stayed and i think that when the top 12 were bring chosen i think sundance shouldeve gone through instead of sanjaya......
you know what i might actualy start voting for sanjaya so then he can win and the th show could be canceled. But i really would liketo see melinda and blake in the final 2. I think lakisha is goin to be one of those surprise vote offs like jenifer hudson was......but its definite that meinda deserves to win it this year, blake i would like to see maybe first or second, most likely second

Sanjaya definitely needs to go. He needed to go like...hmmm...after his audition in the first place! Seriously, what were they thinking even letting him into the Hollywood round.

I'm thinking the final 2 will be Blake and Melinda.

Ugh. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Sanjaya doesn't deserve to go this week. Haley definitely does. Someone sang that song a few seasons ago and nailed it, and Haley definitely didn't.

Sanjaya still shouldn't be on the show for much longer, though. Singing in a foreign language is not cool, because it's so different than singing in English. The words flow together better, you have a different tone, etc. Had he sung an English song in a similar style it would not have been the same.

Simon was right, though, it was a fairly boring night. Blake was the best for me, but I liked Jordin a lot. I actually thought Melinda had the most personality this week, but none of the normally good singers really wowed tonight.

I don't see this Idol winner being the next Kelly or Carrie. But let's hope it picks up.
