Don't restart, just spend more time fighting monsters to level before you fight the next boss.

Man, I am totally in the doldrums right now. I'm in the middle of the Lost Desert chapter on evil and I'm so bored. I think it may be time to stop. I mean I was on Meridell just 2 days ago.

i've just started the game and i'm currently walking around the area to build up my stats. I'm at level 2. How do i spend my skill points ?? Do i use each skill point to increase one skill or concentrate on a few skills. and which few skills would be the best to increase.
edit, i'm actually at level 4 now. I have 3 skill points on Critical Attacks 2 on Damage Increase and 1 on the rest

You should be level 20+ for chapter 2, level 30+ for chapter 3, level 40+ for chapter, and so on (50 for chapter 5). You should beat Terask II at level 60. God, Terask I was hard at level 59.

Hmmm.....a question for all the NQ2 veterans out there (and I'm sure it was posted before...). I'm currently on chapter 1, Insane, and almost got Mipsy. Since everyone I know tells me to take melee defence for her on Insane, and the other 30 points are for group haste and innate haste, what would you take? Group direct damage, or just plain direct damage?

I finally finished it! I was in a slump for quite a while, right at the start of the Lost Desert, but recently the urge came back, and I got a Wand of Reality and of course the shiny gold trophy.
It wasn't too difficult, Terask II was a pain, but at 7500hp that's to be expected. There were a couple close calls, Velm was mesmerized twice, and for the longest while slowing potions weren't working; Terask once got four turns in a row! Fun, huh?
Anyway I guess I'll try for my NeoQuest I gold soon enough (right now I'm only level 5), but for now I'll just be taking a break (also to be expected).

I'm personally a direct damage fan (I've never even used group direct), though DD v. GDD is often a subject of debate here it seems. I just feel that you don't regularly encounter 3 or 4 monsters until the Lost Desert anyway, plus it's my strategy to focus on one monster at a time.
But I'm not sure about spending points on group haste. I *think* the highest level is rampant acceleration, 38%, and haste potions surpass that soon enough. You could get both direct damages too then.
