I'm guessing either a high shield, or an attempt to stop the execution.

Well, I know who I'm voting for after night ends.

Night 2
It wasn't long after everyone had headed to bed, with averly out patrolling the halls for first shift. Pickles dozed in the one of the beds in the Hospital Wing.
Suddenly, the door creaked open. Pickles blinked, slightly tired. "Who's there?" The room was dark and silent.
Suddenly, a wand flicked, and the words "Avada Kedavra" screeched from a voice. A green bolt hit a form laying on the bed. Pickles shouted "Lumos!" A form ran out of the room, cloaked in a dark shroud, escaping. Pickles tried to pursue, but the figure was gone by the time she exited the room. She returned to find the still form of ginny-ROX lying dead on her bed.
While averly was out checking in on different rooms, she felt a chill breeze and shivered as she walked by the Prefects Bathroom. She quickly opened the door and ran inside. Sure enough, a Dementor was lurking in there, approaching Alex quickly. averly cried out. "Alex!"
Alex woke up and scrambled away from the Dementor, but tripped and fell into the huge bathtub. averly was able to get a patronus out and chase the Dementor off. She helped Alex out of the tub, and noticed she'd cut her head a bit, and took her to get some bandaging and healing.
As everyone gathered back in the Great Hall the next morning, they discovered that Rachel was back.
Pickles smiled a greeting as she came in.
"Well, there were two more attacks last night. Alex managed to escape, but unfortunately, ginny-ROX didn't. I was able to determine from her wand that she was Bellatrix, one of the Death Eaters."

Results:
ginny-ROX was killed by the Avada. She was Bellatrix, one of the Death Eaters.
Alex was nearly kissed by dementors, but fell in the tub instead.
Rachel is back.

Day 3 begins

Players still at Hogwarts: 31 Majority Single: 16 Majority Double: 24

I think we're going to need to replace both Rox and Jas. If anyone knows anyone who wants to jump in, let 'em know there's at least one (possibly 2) openings.

Wait. So. Uh.

Ginny was a Death Eater, but she was killed by someone else who used an Avada. Who clearly is not a Death Eater.

So we have a team/person who poisons, and two teams/people who use avada, and what else?

I'm alive? YAY! and apparently somehow i wasnt even targeted... somehow this frightens me even more then being targeted o.o

And with the death of ginny by someone elses hands can we assume we have a 'good killer' out there? o.o Then again isnt that the same spell that was thrown at ME?! o.o tho that was the first night and all baddies may not know who eachother is... *ponder* I'm confusing myself now... *blinks* no more WW till sleep happens!

Could the avada-thrower be a vigilante type?

Hmph. Well, that's just rude.

Wouldn't the vigilante have done a day kill, rather than it happening at night? IIRC, their kills are done once the PM is received, not with nightly actions. I don't know.

Yay, one baddie gone. I guess the death eaters are controlling the dementors since ginny was attacked by the avada spell. Not sure what is going on with the avada thrower, may be another team of baddies. Also wondering why no one was poisoned or taken off by the large bird. Off to join rubywinged and get some sleep in the real world.

Wow! I don't get on for five hours and I almost get executed! Sorry about my suspiciousness. I was going to vote for Ginny after I saw the elaboration post that rubywinged posted, but something came up and I had to get off the computer. I just didn't want an accidental innocent kill, y'know?

Looks like a Bus Driver or a Flip-Flopper. Good job there. I always like it when baddies kill themselves or their teammates.
Furthermore, if it was a Flip-Flopper, one of the lists that were switched would belong to the Death Eater spokesperson, I believe.

Anyone else notice that the poisoner didn't attack last night, and Rachel couldn't use her powers last night?
(Although since everyone knew she couldn't use her powers, it'd be a good way to throw suspicion on her by choosing not to attack -- if that's even a possibility.)

Hopefully the dreamer had another good night.
*hands Alex a bar of chocolate* (note: said chocolate has no special powers; it just tastes yummy)

I think that's taking 2 and 2 and making 75... There are many many other possibilities, including a poisoner choosing not to attack, or maybe the poisoner can only attack on odd nights... many many other possibilities!

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that Rachel is the poisoner, nor would I rule it out completely. It was said with one of the voting updates, that required lists were missing.

But obviously, yay for an evilie down.

I agree with Miyu; while there may be reason to suspect Rachel, I think it's also fair to say it was a coincidence.
