For instance, my boyfriend has been looking for a Tyrannian Paint Brush since he joined (around 2 months ago). Now, if I were to come across one, I know for a fact that I'd be frozen (if not both of us) if were to neomail it to him. Granted, I could try the trading post, but even that's not entirely safe.
However, if I were to neomail the PB to anyone else it'd go generally unnoticed. Which, in my opinion, is just a little unfair. I mean, if you can send a gift to someone halfway around the world, why is it so wrong to send that same gift to someone who shares the same computer...?

I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that you would be frozen for giving someone on the same IP address a gift. My daughter gave me a meepit a few months back--because she knew I loved them--I turned around, and the next day, gave her an electric PB. My husband gave her 700,000 nps after her account was erroneously frozen last December. I have given her a lost desert PB and my husband has given her a baby PB. I send plushies that cost 200K to 700K to my gallery all of the time. And, no one at Neopets has said anything negative, or done anything negative, to us about any of this. Granted, Neopets is aware that we have three separate individuals in our house who all play the game--because of the email I sent when my daughter's account was frozen last December--but I still don't think the problem is as great as some of your make it out to be. Personally, I think they check for patterns--they see me playing at certain times of day, my daughter playing at certain times of day, my husband playing at certain times of day, and sometimes seeing two of us, or sometimes all three of us, playing at the same time.

Well, when you put it that way...
I d'm not sure how I came to that conclusion, honestly. I'm fairly certain it was after something I mentioned on here, about wanting to send something to my boyfriend, and someone warned me that I'd be frozen for it. After that, I got extra cautious.
But I guess, if it comes to the point where either of us is frozen for it, I could always send them an email explaining that we are, in fact, separate individuals.
So yea, thanks Morningstar, I feel much safer about sending things to and from each other now

My main account has a gallery on it. This is the account were I do all my
dailies (Tombola, the Shrine, the Fruit Machine, etc), play games, buy things from shops, keep all my money, and spend about 98% of my time. Now, since I know how annoying it is to go into a gallery searching for an item to buy, I decided to use my secondary account (which was previously just used to keep another pet) as a shop. Anything of value that I win or find in my main account, I send over to my secondary account (via the option to send an item to your NeoFriend) to sell. Once I sell whatever it is, I will transfer the Neopoints back to my main account via the Trading Post.
I have been told that this is extremely risky, but I don''t see how it would be against the rules. I do not play games in my other account. I don''t play Tombola there and I usually don''t use it to buy anything (except for maybe food). So I was wondering if what I was doing is okay or not. Thank you.
Grace wrote:Thanks for writing. You are allowed to have up to 4 accounts if you want to own more than 4 Neopets or run a gallery, guild, or a second shop, but freebies that give out prizes like Tombola and Coltzan's Shrine can only be used once per person, regardless of how many accounts you have. So just alternate between accounts each day you use the freebies. You may switch items between accounts once in a while, just do not turn your second account into an account that gains
NeoPoints for your main account. You may also play games for NeoPoints, use the Healing Springs and get omelettes on the other accounts as long as you keep them in that account. So don't worry, if you aren't sure if you are cheating or not, you probably aren't! Thanks for writing!

All my neopoints and items go to my sisters account, we have got a couple of million neopoints and over 2600 items.
We are sharing because it's difficult for me to deal with all those things (items and neopoints), so a couple of times a week I'm giving all my neopoints except 1-2k to my sister and all items we don't have in our sdb I give to my sister.
Is there a chance we get frozen? We're doing this for a couple of years (although I have not played for a while, but since a couple of weeks more becuase of vacantion).
Because we're doing this so long I don't think it's possible they will freeze us, but we will see.

I'm rather confused about the part of Grace's reply that deals with playing games on a secondary account. According to her, it's fine as long as you keep the NPs in that account. But I know that there have often been references to NOT playing games on secondary acccounts. I've read before that you're only allowed to play games on your main account. Does anyone have the definitive answer for this??

I thought that part was weird too. I don't play games on my secondary accounts and never will, even if I kept the money in there.
This brings up a problem though. I think the Moderators really need to communicate with each other. There seems to be a lot of "this SHOULD be fine" or "I think this" when you get answers from them.

Well, she didn't really address my situation directly. It seems like I'm not supposed to use my secondary account to make NP for my main account, but then why would they allow you to use a secondary account as a shop anyway? However, I'm just going to continue what I am doing because of her "Don't worry, if you aren't sure if you are cheating or not, you probably aren't" comment. Also, if I get frozen for multiple accounts, I can simply use this e-mail in my defense.
Just thought I'd share with everyone.
