Oh wow! I was hoping we'd draw with Yooyu ball and win the other two games, but I wasn't very positive about it. I definitely wasn't expecting a sweep. Go Shenkuu. :D Now if we can keep winning...I'm curious to see what happens when we face Mystery Island again. :P

On one hand, I'm elated; that was a HUGE competitor to beat... on the other hand... out of all those in the top 4, I wanted RI to win the cup.

But still, way to go Shenkuu! :D

I can't speak for anyone else, but the fact that it's the weekend allowed me to play like a maniac. I even submitted a few SS games (which I despise) when I got too sick of yooyus to continue.

Oh, and a gloat that has nothing to do with winning at yooyuball: I managed to cap the score in Make Some Noise. After coming frustratingly close a few times, I finally managed to hit 9999 points. <insert Techo Fan smiley here>

how on earth do you get a score that high on make some noise? the highest i could get was like.. 70.

question: is it actually impossible to get the 10th goal in yooyu ball? because i had nine and was going for ten.. with a normal ball, so it should have been super easy.. but all of a sudden their goal keeper was good..

I can't play MSN - the stress of pounding the keys that fast is not what I need in my free time. :P For YYB though, it's supposed to be impossible to score more than nine goals. People have reported managing ten or more, but it's extremely hard. I've certainly never got there, and there's no point in doing so as apparently you can only get credit for nine per game anyway.

It's a combination of a somewhat slow computer and really fast fingers. I can't actually type anywhere near that fast (my max perfect typing speed is about 80-85 wpm), but with the small, repetitive motions MSN requires, I'm very quick. It's very fatiguing, though. After about 10 games, my fingers start to hurt and won't cooperate, and I have to stop playing for a while.

As far as I know, it's impossible. I spent nearly a minute trying to make a tenth with a fireball in one game, and never got close.

Welcome to PPT! You can get the avatar / sig supporter sets from Pixa's page - it's the link called 'Pixa's Supporter Sets' in the first post of this board. As for scoring with the Dariball, the most useful advice I've seen is on this page: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=33658&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=45 . Meech's post sorted me out. If you use 1-3 or 3-1 formation you may need to adapt it slightly so that you are running about 1cm away from the line but parallel to it, instead of right along it.

Hope that helps. :)

Good job Shenkuus! I was surprised to see you guys achieve a complete sweep against the Roos, they are a very tough team to beat.

In addition to my own team, I actually rooting for Krawk Island as well. They've been achieving good results quite consistantly.

I agree with those who are not too happy with the double round robin. I've lost the initial determination from the beginning of the tournament. I think it's going on too long as well.

Yes, definitely too long. Not that I've played too many games to be fed up, I think it's a bit boring now. I don't really like having to play 3 different games either, although the cheering one is quick enough.

For the record, I'm on the Darigan Team, but am also rooting for Shenkuu (go you guys!)

I love your sig! *is a Beatles fan* :D

I don't mind the other games too much, they help provide a break from YYB. However according to the Rankings Explained link you need 15 games of MSN to earn 1 point, which is equivalent to 1 YYB win. It's such a huge difference lol. XD

Well, guess I won't be very high-ranking. :P I just haven't had the patience this time around, but I've at least submitted one score this time (last year I kept losing and never bothered to submit...d'oh!).

(Glad you like my set, I'm a huge Beatles fan too and decided to make myself a Love one.)

It is possible to get a 10th goal, I've done it twice (only with fire balls). The counter in the top of your screen changes to 10, but when you get to the sumbit score/new game it only says 9 so it's not really worth it. So I just play keep away until the time ends. :) I've heard people on the boards claiming to get to 12 multiple times too.

I haven't played much this weekend. I don't understand why I play more during the week, but oh well. At least today is just against Faerieland. (no offense to FLers >.>)

*phew* finally got the hang of the game this year. I'm averaging 6 goals a game at the moment, which is up from...about one. I've even managed to score with the Darigan, Faerie, and Clockwork balls a few times.

It's Funny... On day 3 of the cup, I said Darigan was Taking the Gold. Looks like I might be right... :D
