You aren't alone with the wanting to give up... I'm so frustrated that I could scream (but I won't, since this is a game and supposed to be fun). I just can not get the hang of this game at all. Every time I actually get the Yooyu and attempt to score... the other team has anticipated my move and block the goal, steal the yooyu, and score against me since my team is on the other side of the field. Blech.
This is too hard. I can't wait for the support games where I'll have more of a chance.

This is what you have to do with the Clockwork Yooyu:
* If it doesn't explode upon loading, wait for the other team to grab it.
* Intercept it when the first player tries to pass it to the next player (usually at the half-way mark on the field).
* Throw it straight at their goalie.
* Laugh as the entire opposing team stands there and watches the ball roll to a stop several pixelated feet in front of the goalie before asploding them all to the sidelines.

Consarned Darigan Yooyuball....it keeps not doing anything right unless the other team has it. What's up with that?
I've noticed that it behaves like a Mutant Ball, except instead of randomly imitating the Faerie Ball, it goes off in 90 degree angles, or sometimes it just goes in the opposite direction you're firing.

Ahh! That helps a lot~ Thank you.
Actually giggled a little when it exploded this time. Perhaps things aren't as hard as I was making them out to be. XD

Let's go Shenkuu.
First time playing in the Altador Cup, wasn't really into Neo as much last year.

It also may be noted that the Clockwork Ball is slower than the normal ball due to it being made out of metal. Which is heavy.

I've finally gotten the hang of this game! You know what really helps? Using my tablet pen to play. It makes it so much easier!

*hopes hopes the support games will be easier*

I played a little last year, so maybe this will be the thing that gets me back to Neo (at least temporarily).
I have to stay loyal to my team and go with Mystery Island. We can do it this year!
P.S. I actually have a question. With the clockwork being new this year, I'm not sure. When it blows up, does it actually have some effect on the players, or is it just "for fun"?

Hmm i just had a really long game , like over 10 minutes long , anybody else having this ?

Yeah. The ball exploding has no real tactical use, other than the fact that the play ends really fast for that ball.

I'd like to point everyone to the polls:

Because i see i'm not the only one curious as to who everyone is playing for and I feel all lonely in the lost desert *sniff*

Also i think i'm going to aim for playing the other support games because I i really cant play the main game very well.... like scoring... not happening

I am so glad that there are new games this year! I can finally participate.
However, I just realized that even people bad at yooyuball can help their team with the game, if they score at least 1 goal. Suppose you lose 6 to 1, the opposing team's goals were scored by the computer, so they shouldn't be added to the opposing team's score. However your 1 goal will be added to your own team's score. At least, that's how I think it works.

Well, you can score with it.

Which is more than I can say for the Darigan Ball. I just can't figure it. Time runs out before I can score (well I scored once with it, but I think that was accidental since I can't repeat it). I found it easier to let them score against me with it just to get a different Yooyuball so I can score several more points against them in the round.
