It is a good puzzle because you have to backtrack to solve it, and most people wouldn't think of this.

You take the babaa across first, leaving the grain with the noil.
Then you take the grain across and leave it there and pick up the babaa (because it can't eat the grain with you watching ) and bring it back across and drop it. They won't fight with you watching. You pick up the noil and bring it to the grain and leave it. Then you go back finally and get the babaa and bring it across.

Edit: Thanks for the people who emailed me!

I finally figured it out with my husband's help! :)

Sadly, he made it look easy and I felt dumb :P

Since others have pointed out various other cameos, I think a found a couple new ones. If they aren't new, sorry for wasting your time.

Exhibit A: We all saw Jacques with Bruno and Linae (sp?) before. I think I found Garin (the second most hated Usul in my book). He is at the far left of the cell. At the far right of the cell is an image so horrible, so terrifying that the mere sight of it can drive a man mad. They are Doglefoxes and they are playing poker! *Falls over insanely laughing*

Exhibit B: Sorry, no fancy Simpsons reference. I just think that may be Mr Krawley, but I'm not sure. It is in the same cell as Jeran and Lisha, I think.

Do you think it will be important to know who people are sitting with and talking to? It could be, like with that last little plot where we had to know what times things could have happened. So maybe it is good to make a list of who is sitting with who or talking to who, just in case. If not, it is still nice to notice the little details going on in the background.

Ok, well I solved the problem I had earlier, and moved along.
Thanks anyway.

Ok I'll be waiting.
Nothing after the puzzle, nothing else has been released, so just sit tight and I personally willbe doing a little trainging in case of a war!

Unfortunately my level is a bit low and will take some time to get to train, unless if I risk my neopoints and still it'll take a lot of time, that means my only hope will be the good old lab ray and sniping weapons!

This is too well-known, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox%2C_goo ... ans_puzzle . If they use it, they'll turn it completely on its head like they did for the double-headed snake in the Tale of Woe (where, instead of asking a question, you had to poke the snake with a stick).

Oh. I remember reading that in a book when I was a kid. I didn't know how well know that riddle was.

smudgeoffudge wrote:Next they could do a puzzle like this:

Scrappy has to load some animals and food onto the boat. He has to cross the plank to get on the boat

Put food here [this is the plank] [ noil, babaa and grain]

He has a barrel of grain, a babaa and a noil.
The noil and the babaa don't like each other and will fight if left alone together. The babaa will eat the grain if it gets a chance. You have to get all three things across the plank and onto the boat, the babaa with you or the grain with you at some point in order to make it across. You can hold one object at a time.

That one is not all that hard. First you take the Babaa across, then you go back for the Noil. You drop of the noil on the boat and take the Babaa back with you. When you return you leave the Babaa behind and take the grain. Put grain next to the Noil and head back one last time to get the Babaa again. That way none had the chance to eat the other.
^^ we used to get that riddle when we were small, ours involved a lion, lamb and cabbage.

Now if only I could solve my 3rd puzzle...

EDIT: Whoops, didn't see that the answer to the riddle had already been posted
EDIT 2: And ofcourse I finish the puzzle right after I post :D

There's also an orange yurble (angry foreman) on the first page :D

I really like this puzzle. I hope we'll get more logic puzzles!
