Also, no one has mentioned this. I've always wanted to dress up my neopets. It would be fun. I still do.... but I want them in their original poses.

Items are supposed to be tagged as wearable and items are supposed to be able to be added to the closet. But none of them are tagged as wearable yet.
Believe me, I bought a lot of clothing and items, and I can't find anything tagged as wearable yet. And at least one of them should be. I even have some sinister neovian paints which I am sure will fit on a krawk, but it just isn't tagged as wearable yet.
I don't know why the staff had to go an add a new lookup and an incomplete customization thing on a friday. Now we can complain and rant about it all weekend long. Maybe that was the point, but still, I'd have rather waited two weeks for them to release a working version, with the option to revert pets back to "NORMAL" than for them to release an incomplete and confusing verison on a Friday with no option but to sit and wait and rant all weekend.

This make me wonder why they did that recent Games Room revamp at all if they planned on doing all this shortly thereafter. I do appreciate all the work that was put into this, but some things still turn out complete disasters afterward. This is one of them, in my opinion. Bleh! Bleh, bleh.

Kitty, I think when they were doing the beta thing for the customization, the concensus was that in the "old" or "default" drawings, the pets couldn't really be dressed. At least not as well or efficiently.
I do think we should be able to decide how we want our pets to look. Right now I can't even look at my jetsam, he's absurd and hideous looking at the same time.
I've been poking around, ended up saving my old gallery layout on notepad and just clearing everything else. Honestly, if they're going to do something this huge that affects so many people the least they could do is put up pages giving us codes and help so that we can actually have a lookup/shop and/or gallery layout without having migraines or a breakdown. And all the people who have premades for others! They must be sick. I know I have some help pages ... may as well take them down since nothing will work and there's no sidebar anymore.
Thanks neo, 50 months of learning graphics, html and css, enjoying doing things, earning my own PB so my pets that I chose look the way I want them to. All gone. And the stealth mode being gone when that's part of what I paid for (I like being invisible), well that's the icing on the cake.
Funny, I'd just decided to start up my magazine subscription again and I was going to buy those next plushies to add to my collection (RL collection). Think I'll be calling to cancel the subscription, not buying any more plushies - may in fact sell all the ones I have. And rethink paying for Premium. I am that disgusted.

OK, Morningstar is getting on her soapbox. I see smiles from those of you who've been here awhile.
I am sad. Probably more sad than I was when I got hit with that 1 million np glitch in January. Why? Because it is clear from this that the users are being forgotten and that TNT is going to do whatever the hell it wants whether we like it or not. Maybe I am so sad because I remember a different Neopets. I was lucky enough to join 4-1/2 years ago, when the members were more like a family and not just some nameless individuals. Sure, the site had problems. Sometimes big bad horrible problems like the time the TP post glitched and every single trade and item on it was lost forever. Or 4/4/4, God that was a day from Hell. But, we put up with it. Why? Because we knew that the people who were running it were trying as best they could to run it and look out for us at the same time. Adam and Donna. They apologized after the TP glitch and you could tell from their words that they really felt bad about it, but that there was nothing they could do to fix it, but they assured us that they would make sure that nothing like that ever happened again. I remember Adam coming on PPT on 4/4/4 and listening to us. Taking our complaints seriously. And then doing whatever he had to do to get it to stop. I remember him coming on here when the banner ads were first introduced. We were mad. No one wanted the banners. But, we listened to him and saw why they were necessary and rallied around him, even though we didn't like the change being made.
But, this. Well, this is different. It doesn't seem as if anyone is looking out for us users anymore. And, well, that is hard for many of us to take, because there was a time in this game when people in charge did. And it's not that they bent over backwards to fix their mistakes. They didn't gave us back items or nps when there were glitches--well, except for the SDB glitch that happened a few years ago. And those of us who have been around for awhile have endured a lot. Undoubtedly, just about anyone who has played for 3 or more years has lost nps or items to glitches. Endured incredible lag and craziness on the site (shops disappearing, Neo down for days at a time, glitches with quickstock). But, each one of us knew that the people in charge actually cared about the game. It was their baby and so they tried as best they could to stay one step ahead of the scammers and autobuyers and glitches. Many changes on Neopets came about because they heard us--suspensions instead of freezings, a new way to restock that kept the autobuyers at bay, to name a few. But, that is no longer the case. Some faceless entity named Viacom controls it. It is all about profit and loss. And the people in charge obviously don't care to listen to the users' concerns. Or even care enough about us to ask our opinion first. So, today is a sad day for me. Because I have always loved this game. And now? Well, I just don't know anymore.

Uhm, wow. I'm actually kind of surprised by the reactions of everybody, but whatever. Anyway. It seems like the user lookups are more customizable because the layout is like all css and stuff, but...wow. Progress for making it back to how my lookup was before is not that good.

Morningstar, hop down for a second. It's not like we have any PROOF that they don't care - they spent forever doing a huge revamp that they thought was for the better. It's been a huge shock to even me, and I've been here for nearly seven years.
But it hasn't even been a day yet, maybe things will be changed still. You can't blame them for not caring about us when they haven't had long enough to gauge ALL of our reactions.

fructy, thanks for your reply on the previous thread.
I like the new layout, though I don't think it's perfect. The "My Account" makes it easier to get to things, as do the other pull-down menus. Yea, my user look-up was ruined, but all the fun images I just put up look great. My Peophin and Grundos don't look all that much different (the smaller pictures aren't too fun, though); my Aisha is "cuter" than before, but it REALLY REALLY needed a redraw, so I'm thankful for that. The quality of the art work with the new Aisha is much better--I'm not sure how you could miss it. Whether or not you like the cuter images, however, is a matter of taste. Probably people are upset who don't want to be associated with "cute" things. Whatever. I'm sure TNT targeted their largest audience when coming up with the new images.

*hands Inrun a kleenex* You know. *pokes Inrun* You were around then. Lots of us were. Things were different then. And those who are new to the site (meaning after Viacom bought it) never got the chance to grow up with this site. And, gosh, they have no idea what they missed. Good times. Not always the most fun (like when petpets turned into apples), but still and all, something that just can't be found on the site anymore.
