Sounds like s/he was saying it impersonally, as in general? Does this person have a Krawk too? Maybe all the backgrounds are ugly to him/her.

I'm unaware of anything allowing other players to view your customized neopet. I agree with ^. It sounds rather impersonal and there are an awful lot of people disatisfied with the new service (although I really really like it...if I do say so myself). Perhaps he/she is trying to freak you out.

He doesn't have a krawk, but I do own a mutant krawk, so I assumed that's why he brought it up.
Well, actually, he probably brought him up because the thread we were in was about the customizable krawk in general. :p
It was really odd, though. He just randomly popped in a few minutes after I left the thread (I came back about half an hour later) and posted that, and then he completely dropped the subject and rambled about his invisible pet.
Maybe he was just bluffing after all. *shrug*

I really do like the CONCEPT of this feature but the weird (aka bad) redraws of the pets just do nothing for me. Also I really am wondering HOW this is going to work. How you will see your pet once you dress it what will the options be or is it going to be geared more towards a game or maybe the 'a photo of me' in the pet lookup could be changed to what we make them up as.....
I dont know this feature while cool is at the same time very dissapointing I really can't even say if this is something i'd like to see them keep or not. :/

Yeah maybe this person just took a wild guess at what you were using. Unless there is some link or something floating around. But I haven't heard of a way to see what other people use. So it was probably a wild guess.
I'd really like a staff to answer how Deluxe Paint Brush Sets work.
Are Deluxe Sets just set that come with the pet when they are painted? I understand that you might want to paint a pet but take off parts of it. So they probably won't get rid of the sets altogether. But I think you should only be able to get these sets when you paint a pet. If you want to remove parts of them from your pet, that should be ok. But you shouldn't be able to resale these. I mean, imagine painting your pet and deciding to sale the wings or something. Then your pet could never have wings again, unless you bought the wings from someone. That wouldn't be a good idea. So I say just have the option to remove them, but not from your inventory. I say that you should be able to paint a pet faerie and then sale the wings.
Also, I don't think the wings or any of the deluxe set should be in your neostores. I think they only way to get a deluxe set should be from the paint brushes. If you remove your wings from your one pet, maybe you could use it on another pet. But I don't think you should be able to sale them to your friend. I don't think any newbie with five dollars should be able to get them from the neo store either. I think Deluxe Sets should come with the paint brushes as a unique part of your pet. And I think it is wrong to sale a part of your pet.

Personally I think this 'trying the outfits' thing is not a bad idea, however after I tried it, it makes me think 'now what?'...I do not like the idea of having to spend a fortune to get a 'deluxe paint brush set' to make the clothes thing works...it would just become yet another line of over-priced items....
Also, after you paint, say, a Jetsam into 'Pirate' and then have him wear the 'Royal' outfits, then would the Jetsam still be 'Pirate' or is he forever changed to 'Royal'? There is still much to think about and work out before this whole thing should go live, I guess...

On the subject of wings has any one tried putting the robot wings on there darigan draik?
But I agree with smudge, If you have painted pet with clothes, accesories or wings added you shouldn't be allowed to sell them. I can see taking things off for a while to make an outfit make sense, if you were dress your pet to go with a roleplay or something for example. (and my xmas draik does alway start to look out of place this time of year to me proably keep the tail holly on though)
But resell the parts you just painted, why have a faerie pet if your just gonna tear the wings off.

Yeah it seems kind of morbid to tear off the wings or something and resale them. That is a part of your pet, for crying out loud. That should not be allowed. I could understand if you had say, a royal pet and you took the dress off of it and put it on one of your other pets. But I don't think you should be able to sale that dress.
For example, say you had a pirate pet and also a royal pet, and you just wanted to switch their costumes, you could be able to do that. But I don't think you should be able to sale any of those peices.
I also don't think you should be able to buy any of those peices either. They should ONLY EVER come with the paint brush. So say you had a paint brush, but didn't actually want to paint a pet with it, you just wanted the clothing. That would be ok too, since you just bought the paint brush. Maybe you could turn it in and get the clothing. But I don't think you should be able to sale it! If you tried it would say "this can't be sold in stores" . Now I don't know how they'd block that. But they should be able to somehow!
And when neopets starts charging money for clothing, I don't think they should ever have any of the deluxe set in their stores.

Ugh. His neck is waaay too long and his ruff doesn't seem to be attatched to his skin. :/ And I don't have a Darigan Aisha at the moment, but I saw some one else's screenie and I died a little inside.

I really like the Yurble Redraw...granted, the Faerie Yurble isn't as cute as it used to be, but overall, I really like it.

Agreed. Having owned a Jetsam since before they were limited edition, six years ago, as my first Neopet, I am disappointed to see this hideous redraw.

I'm actually enjoying myself (even if I'm not entirely sure I like the acara redraw, but then I dislike the current as well, the first was better).
Weirdly I got 22 items with my acara, so I'm having TONS of fun and my pirate xweetok is quite impressed with herself

There seem to be a lot of negative reactions here and on the neoboards.
People have been complaining for so long that they can't dress up their pet/personalize their pet a bit more and now the option is here and most people are negative about it.
I tried it out and it seems quite nice to be able to personalize my pets a bit more.
Sometimes it just seems to me that whatever TNT do, they just can't do it right according to the players. Maybe we're being too demanding? We can't expect every redraw to be perfect etc...

Well, I do like the idea of being able to dress-up or customize our pets, even though I would never put anything besides jewelry and random accessories on mine. My pets aren't anthros, they don't need clothes.
But man, what happened to my darigan aisha's devilishly sleek appearance? D:
As for my mutant shoyru, I'm honestly not sure whether to be horrified or amused. I certainly never expected to ever see her looking so... feminine.
