It definitely smells like April Fools joke to me (Telling us about the upgrade the day before April Fools gives me that feeling) though I do find surprising that April Fools! hasn't been added to end of the first post considering that April Fools Day is now over in most timezones.

If you adjust for
my timezone, you'll find that it was actually posted on April 1st.
