I was just wondering about that. She told him, what, two or three days ago?

According to Greg Grunberg (Matt), the wife is actually pregnant in real life, and they're not planning on efforts to cover it up.

That explains it, she couldn't hide it anymore so they wrote it in. Same thing happened with Studio 60, Amanda Peet was clearly pregnant in real life so they wrote it in.

:o I'm super excited to see this transformation of Peter... we all heard him growl as he got angry..... and I'm pretty sure he's turning into a powerful MONSTER.... I heard rumors a LOOong time ago about a gigantic monster being created, but I totally just... let it slip my mind. Like they would have a MONSTER on the show.... that would ruin it.

Well, now im starting to believe it more than ever. I'm not thinking of a werewolf or dragon or some crap, but like Ganon on the Zelda games or something.... we saw the picture of Peter that was painted. His face was dark, and his eyes were yellow.... and we see the future him with a scar, and it sounds like he might have his head shaved or something. The scar is confirmed, especially since we saw the future Peter!
pic of the scar:
Image But i mean.. imagine if her turns into something crazy.... what if he truly IS the bad guy and nobody really wants to believe it? It's not his character thats making him the bad guy.... its the circumstances.

EDIT:
FOUND IT! I found the picture!
Image
Its official heroes art, but i dont know what it is... i think it was supposed to be one of the forseen paintings painted, or it might have nothing to do with.... anything. But this is what i had seen before!

8) That was AWESOME that Hana, Ted, and Matt took over. That TOTALLY took me by surprise when they took over the Bennett family. That was HUGE... and i guess this next epsidoe will lead to a LOT of questions being answered.... and obviously a rather explosive ending! Hooray!

 Ummm... is DL dead or something? he hasnt been around much lately!

o_O I have a question. What WAS the whole deal with the freezing thing in the first few episodes? im trying to compile my own list of all of the heroes and their powers, including the dead ones. I figured that the little girl who Matt found hiding, who had her parents killed, had at least one parent with superhuman powers, otherwise Sylar wouldnt have killed them. Molly's dead mother is suspended five feet off the floor, pinned flat to a staircase banister by numerous knives. Molly's dead father is seated at a table, frozen solid, with his skull sliced open and his brain removed. So, we can only assume that her father had some type of power, and id like to know who he was.... and what the whole frozen thing was about. Did somebody have an ice power? Was it the guy who was killed? Or did sylar have that power before he killed him, and just hasnt had a need to use it since? I want conclusion on this topic.

:) In the meantime, here is the list I have compiled thus far.

Living 'heroes:'
The Haitian – Erases Memories
Claire Bennett – Spontaneous Regeneration
Meredith Gordon – Pyrokenisis
Nathan Petrelli – Flight
Peter Petrilli – Power Mimicry
Claude – Invisibility
Issac Mendez – Prerecognition
D.L. Hawkins – Phasing
Nikki/Jessica Sanders – Split Personalities / Superhuman Strength
Micah Sanders – Technopathy
Hiro Nakamura – Time Manipulation
Matt Parkman – Telepathy
Ted Sprague – Emits radiation
Hana Gitelman – Wireless Interceptor / Electronic Reception
Sanjog Iyer – Enters Dreams / Spirit Guide

Dead:
Eden McCain – power of persuasion
Charlie Andrews – Memorization
Brian Davis - Telekinesis
Dale Smither – Superhearing
Zane Taylor – Metal Molecular Manipulation

---plus Molly walker’s parents killed by Sylar. More likely the dad.

Gabriel Gray/Sylar - ... should NOT be on this list because he is not a hero... he is a normal guy who was obsessed, learned the secret since he knows how things work... and steals powers from people.

:D Oh! Does anybody have a picture of the list that Mohinder Suresh had! I could swear Ive seen a good one around... that might be able to help out....

Characters who have died:

Eden McCain - power of persuasion
Charlie Andrews - power to learn things quickly
Brian Davis - telekenesis (Sylar's first victim)
Zane Taylor - power to melt objects
Dale Smither - super-hearing

Other characters of interest:

Molly Walker - little girl found in the hidden room - parents were dead

Here's a really neat site I found: Heroes Wiki

Yup, got all of them..... perhaps you started writing this before I hit the "edit" button.....

But basically, there is one mystery left over that would be nice to have some closure to, but we doubt we have any evidence to make a stable conclusion on the topic.

Molly's parents.

It sounds like Mollys mom had no powers (she was killed, but did not have her brains scooped out).... mollys dad DID have powers (for his brain was scooped out.)... and molly DOES have powers (she has that hereditary link, and was chased by Sylar after the fact that the dad was killed.)

People have taken a lot of looks at the situation, and ive compiled this list of the most logical choices:

Dad: Either he had powers of freezing since ice was found around his place of death, or we have no other real clue.

Molly: Molly might have the power of 'Power Negation ', which is the power to cancel out other powers... which might have been how she got away from Sylar, and when it took Matt a while to find her, her heard her think "how was he able to find me?" She could also potentially have the opposite power, power bestowel, which jumpstarts others powers, enabling Matt to find her better. She might also have freezing, or something to do with the way she hid herself from the inside of a secret passageway thing in her house. These are all logical, but as of now, we dont really know.

What do you think?

Also, when Matt was investigating the fire... somebody got killed. Was that a result of Ted Sprauge or Sylar? And somebody said something about a rain girl killed by sylar. who was that?

Doesn't the Haitian also have this power of negation? HRG brings him around because no one can touch him when he's there. Matt couldn't read HRG's thoughts, and the incident at the bar when Matt was taken. Also Sylar couldn't do anything to Eden when he was captured because the Haitian was there. HRG brought the Haitian to his house when Sylar had his wife and Sylar could easily have stoped HRG from shooting at him had the Haitian not been there.

Correct me if i'm wrong......

The hatian scrictly has powers of memory loss... some observers are still trying to figure out some of that stuff about matts brain going haywaire when he tried to listen in, but if anything, it wasnt the haitian giving matt the headaches, it was HRG, but everybody is pretty frickin darn sure HRG doesnt have powers, much less, the power of negation.

How do we explain how Sylars powers wouldn't work when he was taken by Eden and the Hatian?

Thu Feb 22, 2007 3:08 pm

Sylar DOES have a power, so he is a hero. He has the ability to tell if something is "broken", and when he first came across Brian Davis he found out that something was "broken" with him, so he stole Brian's powers.

Also, that art is of a creature called Uluru, which has been seen as art in the show. here is the article in the Heroes Wiki. And I wonder if there's going to be a connection between the two.

Also, in that picture you posted, you can see a man standing in front of Uluru, and I'm wondering if it might be HRG (since it looks like he has glasses). And since Isaac makes the 9th Wonders! comic books in the show, and he paints the future, we could be seeing this monster.

About the Haitian... There's quite a debate going on about the Haitian's powers at 9th Wonders, but I think the general consensus is that he can erase people's memories and defend himself and other people around him against mental attacks, which explains why Matt got that static and Sylar couldn't use his power (since telekinesis relies on mental attacks), but the people like Nathan and Peter got away.

I never thought about Nathan and Peter flying away while the Haitian was there. Your explanation makes sense to me now, He can stop people from using there mental powers not just any powers!

Thu Feb 22, 2007 6:57 pm

i dont think the Haitian can necessarily stop OTHER people from using THEIR mental powers. He cant just hold up his hand and make matt powerless..... but I think he CAN use his mental powers to cross/intercept various mental powers, which is similar, but shouldnt be confused with power cancellation.

I still dont think Sylar had any power before he stole any. Thats the reason why he DID get so angry.... being able to figure things out isnt really a power. He didnt have a power, so he had to kill people to get them.

He IS very good at figuring out how things work, which is how he found out about the whole brain removal thing.... but I would have to say its really not a power. I would say... Sylar doesnt have a power, but an ability... called Intuitive aptitude, the ability to analyze complex systems and intuitively understand how they work... but I highly doubt he is on "the list" or has any special chromosomes of any kind....

Thanks for the info on Uluru... gets me very interested! Ive been able to find some more cool stuff of Uluru...

And micahs book... Image

the comic book itself: Image

Uluru is a rather smurf looking rock monster. There are several reasons that Peter may become this monster. 1) Peter is one of only three characters powerful enough to be him (Sylar and Niki/Jessica are the other two). All the powers he's able to mimic, especially including Claire's regeneration, could easily justify him referring to himself as "invincible", just like Uluru. 2) His power comes from his depth of emotion, and we all know how peaceful, controllable, and predictable emotions are, riiiiiiight? It could be that after being seriously hurt or betrayed by people he cares about, or from losing them, that he could utterly lose control of his emotions, turning him into a raging Uluru. 3) Most importantly, however, is his name. His first name and last name, Peter Petrelli, both come from the Latin term 'petra' meaning "rock." Once again, there may be religious references of note. The "rock" on which Jesus supposedly wished his church to be built was a man whose name changed from Simon to Peter. That we had a Simone in a relationship with Peter (until her death, of course) is quite the parallel. However, this is incidental to whether or not Peter will become Uluru.

Actually, according to the Heroes Wiki, intuitive aptitude is considered his main power. And yes, it's an ability, but it's a superhuman ability that very, very few people have, so it's considered a power.

And more spoilers!

From Ask Ausiello...

Question: Why did Simone die on Monday's Heroes? Didn't you say the big death would occur on Mar. 5?— Rachel Stern
Ausiello: That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (Spoiler alert!) Feb. 19 is when she got shot; Mar. 5 is when she dies.

If Sylar (Gabriel Grey) was not on Dr. Suresh's list than how would he know to go see him and talk to him about it?
