I'm not late for my costume. It only takes me two weeks to make it, and since I already have the base part of the clarinet down I only need to add the keys, which shouldn't be too bad.
I think your idea for the shield strap would work, but maybe you could try a hot glue gun instead of superglue. Superglue often doesn't work for me.

Yeah, well in actual time, my costume probably only takes a week. But still... I mean, there's not much time schoolkids have to both work on costumes and homework.
Wierd... hot glue guns never work for *me*. Never. Maybe I'll try Gorilla Glue.

My friend went as a yellow kacheek one year.. nobody knew who she was. A few people thought she was a chicken.

You succeed either way. But I can't see anyone not recognising me. I figure, "If none of the Rohirrim knew who Dernhelm was, then they wouldn't care and wouldn't ask questions or anything."
