Wow... I just lost on Insane... to Leximp. LEXIMP!!! He killed Mipsy with a 43 damage attack, then I watched in stunned silence as he hit Rohane 5 TIMES IN A ROW.

Ouch. That really stinks! (I don't dare play Insane at all, because I know I'd die repeatedly.)

Leximp always gave me trouble on Evil. Im playing InSaNe now, and I'll definitely be super wary when I get to him. 5 times in a row o_o

Can someone explain me why are my characters so weak?

i just maxed mipsy dd, adn still she's only doing 86dam

im playing on evil, but i though the only thing that was harder was the amount of hp of the enemies. Can someone explain me what exactly changes from normal up to insane? thanks y'all

Her DD ability(and probably GDD too) can't do more damage than her total HP.

I once heard that if you lose on insane mode, you lose the entire game and have to start over again (instead of at the last inn). But I can't seem to find the source of it anymore to verify it. Can anybody confirm whether this is true or what the actual penalty is if you die?

*Points to his Wand of Reality* Yes, I can confirm that. I died about 8 times before I finally won.

The hardest part is the beginning of the game, when it's just Rohane against 90 HP skeleton warriors and such. Even after you get Mipsy, you can't really afford to be underleveled until you get Velm. Then the game is easy. Even Terask II is not as hard as people say (although it's not an easy fight, and you should be careful).

The toughest bosses in the game are Zombom, Leximp, Siciclast, The Faeries, Hubrid Nox, and Terask II.

Thanks, I'll try to keep that in mind. Looks like I've got a looong way to go :P

I'm going up against the faeries later today, on InSaNe mode. Anyone wanna pat my back and tell me it's gonna be alright? :(

*patpat*

You've got Velm, so you should be doing just fine, right? Just concentrate on one at a time, and heal with potions as well (since Velm isn't always quick to recover)

Should I be higher than 45? *nerves*

Fri Feb 23, 2007 12:21 am

I can't recall what level I was at when I took out the Faeries on Insane (I want to say 47 but could be wrong.)

If you're worried, gaining an extra level can't hurt. I played very conservatively in Insane, thinking it was better to be safe than sorry.

Really, Faeries aren't that bad. If one of your guys dies, you can always run away.

Fri Feb 23, 2007 12:38 am

I survived at level 45 :) You have no idea how relieved I am lol. It wasn't that hard I guess, it was just a matter of watching everyones HP like a hawk and making sure the faeries were slowed all the time. I'm still nervous though, since it's start from beginning if I die. Done that already once, have no desire to go there again -.-

Edit: typo

Edit the second (March 1st):
Me and my friend pulled a 9 hour stint in NQII InSaNe today. We were both at aproximately the same place (faerie thief 3) and finished within 10-15 minutes of each other. Both got Wand of Reality :D
