I had a penpal in third grade. It was part of the school's scheme to make us write. See, there are only two primary schools in my district (we have a bunch of elementaries, one intermediate, one jr. high, and one sr. high). Mine was one of the two. We were paired off with anotehr third grader from the other school. It was pretty boring, actually.
