Whether it be a puzzle or a war, this is the place to be for all your plot related needs.

I've never liked the battledome. And now, we're fighting just to loose?! That's totally beyond me. We loose to get plot points?! Weird...
I'm not going for this. I'll fight at the next war plot, when my battle pet is all strong...o_0

That's usually always how the final boss works - People lose until the boss' HP is low enough that somebody can beat him. In this case, however, it seems as if its a case of people lose until he hits 0 hp.

Grr I missed the first two stages. Ah well... i'm going to fight until my head gets sore from repeatedly banging it against my desk and then probably stop.
This is even more boring than continually beating up 15 difficulty stones

and so NOT what Saturdays were made for.

You have only missed 1 stage.
The mayor has only been defeated once and there are 3 stages.

my bd only shows the mayor at 1million hp.does this mean i missed the first 2 stages?the 1st being 1000 2nd being 100000 and third being 1million?darn i m confused.
edit:never mind i get it.its in its second form now.guess i'll wait.i really dont know whts the best solution here.to fight to lose to him to "get plot pts" or not fight since it affects my overall bd scores?darn.

We are on the 2nd stage now.
Only the 1st mayor (1000 difficulty) has been defeated.
There is only 1 mayor available at a time.
When this mayor goes down for the count, then the final mega mayor will come out.

Ah crap, missed the first stage. And...it won't let me battle him. Have I missed something?
EDIT: Nevermind, just had to refresh.

Mayor Thumburt reflects your light attack back at you with the Prismatic Mirror!
Damage:
2223 hp
Dead again, but he's now below 61977

I have to go volunteer soon (Habitat for Humanity, yay!) so maybe he'll be on stage 3 by the time I get back

Unfortunately, I'm sure the Healing Potions I need will be above their current 500NP by that time too. Good luck you guys

Are we actually doing damage to his total hp not his temporary hp?
As well as that, my pet is actually doing more damage with a reflector than normal weapons...
Sat Nov 18, 2006 1:56 pm
It doesn't matter how much damage you do. It only matters that you actually do damage - because that is what causes his health to go down 1 HP.
(I think that's how it goes anyway.)
As of my latest fight/horrible mauling, his HP is at 52538.

Yeah, it's his total hp that goes down.
We're probably just 'wearing him down' so the plot characters can smite him. Or so we can find that 'special item' and smite him.
Since he doesn't seem to take damage otherwise. XD

Is it too late to get the random event that lets you fight. I keep refreshing at Neovia and can't get it.

I had to read the comic (chapter 14) and then go back to Neovia before I got the Mayer as challenger. I think I also went back into the asylum.
