HW Plot Part: Sophie's lab (Split #6)

I find it odd that only one out of the three special mixtures has been found. Is it possible that you have to use that one to make the other two? I am going to give this a try. I just wanted to put my idea out there in case anyone else has already tried this.

It is kind of wild that theres been such a gap between discoveries. A big group of people have been testing combinations all night without hitting either of the unknowns, so it must've been crazy luck, or planned by TNT for Ice to have been found so soon. I dont know if anyones tried what youre saying, but if you do it, its not going to hurt. At least it'd be ruled out.

Well, I have 3 grams of the ice. Now I just need to find out what 7 grams to try with it. Page one of this split has 7 grams of sharpgrass with nothing done to it. Maybe 7 grams of something that has been worked on will work.

Ok, this is not much of a tip but something I did now after two consecutively black goo blow outs and lots of reading around and browsing, the +/- thing, in my case was 3 I required 67 Power, 103 Enchantment, suggestion don't go to the extremes, that is 70 or 64 and 106 or 100, with the rounding thing if you go off or over a decimal it will turn to a black goo. At least this is what I noticed of the other people that had this result with the ingredients "on the required amounts", they don't show you the decimals but the system IS measuring them.

It required me the +/- 3 so I just stayed in the +/- 2 side of the equation, same for spectral essence, aim for the required amount don't go +/- 1 because it will mess up the whole thing.

(yes, I'm sure others have already done this before... but bear with me, I had to start doing something easy before my brain imploded)

I was playing around with how to make Plasma Ice and found that you only really need to satisfy the following:

1. Have all 3 ingrediants
2. Have only 1g of Nova
3. Have any 2 positive and any 2 negative properties.

Eg Dessicating 8g Sharpgrass for 10 seconds and then adding 1g Nova and Bumroot will also give you a Plasma Ice Composite...

I tried it and it works. You just have to use bumroot, sharpgraas and nova essence and no other ones. Only 1g of nova and the double positive and negative properties. Also this petpage from th original poster:http://www.neopets.com/~Hydruxo has some more methods on getting the plasma composite quickly.

It seems to me a LOT of people have been waiting untill stuff is maxed out while it is not required.

We had a nice board going on Neoboards about this for a while, and we eliminated burn/soak and burn/crush as the ways of getting it. If you want to double-check, go ahead, but there are 120 combinations, so it will take you a while.

And... black goo. Now, my Comp 3 was perfect, like it wanted exactly what I gave it, so something was wrong with the goo or the essence. Can anyone spot the problem?

yet that theory doesn't quite apply to the spectral essence and goo, perhaps each could have different parameters...but for the overdoing part, i completely agree ^.^

Jaya, your Spectral Essence is wrong. The values aren't correct.

21 g Bloodfern Loam - Crushed and Soaked to max
2 g Leafy Slorgblossom - Burned and Crushed to max

The formula is:

10 g Bloodfern - Soaked and Crushed MAX
10 g Bloodfern - Soaked and Crushed MAX
2 g Leafy Slorgblossom - Soaked, Crushed, and Desicatted MAX
1 g Bloodfern - Soaked, Crushed, and Desicatted MAX

is what I used for my Level 4 spectral essence. So if yer trying to get it to the 275 on the nose give this a try. When I had it at 276 my potion failed, 275 made it work!

If you do the math equation on that, it says 276 but is in fact 276.(something over 5) so is in fact over the +-1.

The above formula works great.

Sorry if it's already been said, but is it confirmed that for every 1g of stuff you do an action to, it takes 30s to Burn, 60 to Crush, 90 to Soak and 120s to Dessicate? And for 10g of ingredient, it'll take 10 x 30 (in the case of soaking) seconds?

Question: in the past, I've always used all different ingredients when it said 'Composite x cannot contain more than y grams of any one basic ingredient.'.

But now this page, which has been enormously helpful, by the way, brings forth something called 'Jurpleberry Method' - in which I would use 4*3 grams of Jurpleberries to make a composite of 12 grams which 'cannot contain more than 3 grams of any one basic ingredient'. Is this right? Does adding it one at a time make it ok? I mean, it still contains 12 grams of Jurpleberries, and I'd hate to see my AGG and SE go to waste.

Target value: +90 +/- 5

Composite 2 cannot contain more than 10 grams of any one basic ingredient.

It looks right to me but isn't working when I throw the two components in.
